    How to ride a Goldwing.

This link was posted on the RF900 Mailing list.

It's of a couple of Honda Goldwings on a twisty road in the States.

Check out the pace of this riding, and listen to the sound of the pegs on the ground in every corner.

    Wicked stuff.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Looks very impressive. On one of the US forums I frequent there is a few mentions of an elderly rider (in his 70's) who blows a lot of sportbike riders away at the Dragon on his Goldwing, passing them on the outside!! Puts a lot of guys to shame. From the little bit of the vid I watched then these guys are very smooth.

Wow not bad. That road looks awesome, as in all the other vids I've seen of it.

There must be few cops on it, 'cos everyone seems to go fairly hard. Imagine doing a runner in the US? Those overkill bastards would probably have the Navy Seals snipers blow your tyres out if you tried it on.

Sheesh, if ya dropped one of those things it take out half the forest
It is better to have ridden & crashed than never to have ridden at all

What a fantastic stretch of highway! Where abouts exactly is "The Dragon"?

Parts of it remind me of the road from Kawerau to Lake Rotoma.

Those 1.8 litre boxer sixes make a sweet noise when they're getting fed a bit of curry.

Performance Bikes has a photo of a guy sliding a 'Wing at night. The rear wheel is well out too.

sounds more like the pipes scraping to me..

That is sooo cool, pretty risky business, you could pivot out on a peg or something, and lowside it bigtime.

    Hats off to those lads.

Yep! That's impressive, they'd give me a lesson on my F alright! Wonder how long their rear tyres/ tank of gas/ pegs, etc. last? Who cares when your havin that much fun! and I guess if you can afford a 'wing, you can afford to use it...
