No idea how fast at all...........by all accounts its a great piece of road so quick i would say........as i said he had just bought the RR after trading in his 954...........as for the pics no idea........i have seen alot of great bike/action shots from deals gap before.........myself i am shit with a camera but obviously who ever takes these pics isnt.........have seen an awsome sequence of pics of a harley rider at deals gap giving the guy taking the photo the finger then losing it big time.......so and so on.............

Deals Gap is on a piece of road called the Tail of the Dragon - part of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Take a look at Killboy's site. He seems to specialise in photos of the Tail of the Dragon, some of them incredibly dramatic, some beautiful, all skillful.
