Aftermarket parts?

thought id float the idea around here looking at becoming an agent for
PARTS UNLIMITED out of the state for after market parts ive had a look at there catalogues which are huge for both trail bike and atvs you could almost build a bike out of what they can supply there turn around time to get stuff down here is around about a week so were just seeing what sort of interest there would be for purchases if we go ahead with the idea
any feed back welcome
ive placed this here as we are looking at the off road market for a starting point road may be later as with jetskis

we would look at holding more of the consumable that people are likey to use more readly as most part arive within a week should be to much of a wait of corurse there in a min$$ value we would need to do with each order so del times may vary pending on whats ordered.

whats your bike details i have mate who allready deals with them but not in auckland will price up options

I think that if you can offer good pricing on parts like pistons etc that is stuff that you have planned as general maintenace a few week delay isn't so bad. It's stuff that you break and need now thats a problem. You don't really want to hold stock for a bike that there is only 10 of in NZ or something........

Its interesting to see what the prices in the USA are. If you look at Ebay you can get a piston kit for about $90 USD which with our good exchange rate is only about $140ish compaired to the $240 I just paid for mine its quite competitive.

price compare not to bad id got in piston kit pro x and a athena full gasket set for my 426 cost me $185 piston and 175 for gaskets and the more we order the better the priceing will get which will in turn save you more
well do some sort a lookin as to what people seam to want as everdau breakages and what bikes are more common so as not to hold dead stock

Id be keen for someone to get into that, but like everyone else says, just as long as you dont put the MASSIVE mark up on like the rest of the New Zealand shops. I just ordered a piston kit from the states to save myself $200NZ

my idea is quanity not huge mark up i figure more sale at less mark up is better than small amount of sales more $$
at this point i can get stuff if anyone want something through friends account down the line once we get regular flow well start to stock stuff

provide an online portal - zero labour costs, once its up it just keeps on ticking....customers these days are always happier if they can search, find, compare and buy online for most consumables

will keep in mind tryin to sort one of or current customers to build us a web site for our work shop then thought we could add to that she just havin family probs at the mo so will take some time but feel free to look on the link posted here for http://offroad.parts-unlimited.com/13 any thing you mite wantther are some items we have ben advised that they will not sell out side the USA due to licence as with Moose Racing and Fox but were going to work on that in time
