    Question Lanesplitting for fun?

Does anybody lanesplit for no other reason than its fun?

Ie, Get your kit on, hope on your bike at 5.pm and go in search of some congested motorways to get your concentration split thrill?

I was splitting home today quite comfortably, got to my exit and didn't want to get off!

Yeah - sometimes I go 2 exits past mine just for the hell of it then turn round and come back.

Well, not exactly for fun, although it is a buzz sometimes. I just HATE sitting in traffic on the bike, and it gets hot pretty quickly.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

That's one of my excuses too coz my bike is so old fashioned (air cooled).

FRIDAY NIGHTS AT TE RAPA, HAMILTON!!!

Lanesplitting between two boyracer cars as they start racing is lots of fun... it reminds me of one of those very few good parts from the movie Torque

My commute takes me from Ngaio to the Gym in Johnsonville, then back to Khandallah. (maybe 10km round trip per day)

I have, on occasions, managed to get back to Khandallah via the paremata round-about, or Ngauranga gorge.....just for the hell of it!

Yep! Been there, done that. Always amusing watching some ned in a baseball cap try to out-accelerate a 'Blade in a Honda Civic. Even if it is a modded (bean can silencer) Civic driven by a boy racer with mad skillz.

Was kind of surreal to see it attempted on the motorway, during peak hour traffic, coming up to an offramp.

Holy shit did I feel violent (note to self, join a gym).

While you admit to dragging off 1 car is fun, have you ever tried it between 2 of them? it really pisses 'em off

Never for fun, would rather have some space around me but sometimes manage to squeeze a bit of fun out of it.

Satisfying, definitely. Fun? Too much risk of a dick in a cage doing something stupid and wiping me to truly enjoy it. Give me an empty, twisty road anyday.
