    Favourite corners in Auckland

The last couple of days puttering around the greater Auckland area, I've found a couple of corners that I just love.

Its probably because they are just right for my level of riding or sommat, but I thought I'd ask others what there favourite lines are?

There is a wicked roundabout in Howick somewhere with a bit of a left-right-left line you can do at some silly speeds.

See attached pic for todays favorite, nice and easy just 'lots-o lean'. First to name it gets some bling!

Heading south, along the the old SH1 just north of the Albany Hill, you come past an Xmas tree plantation on your right, it breaks into a passing lane, then a right-hander, into a sweeping left-hander and uphill. Brilliant, never seen a cop there, I always go hard up that one!

This is one of my favourite corners ... though it's difficult finding it free of traffic.

Second that...one very fast corner good for low lean angles.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

Out in my back yard ...Hunuas, Kaiaua, Maraetai, Whitford, Twilight Road (for those impromptu Crusty Demon impersonations) SH22, Waiuku, Drury, Hampton Downs, the Waikato Expressway rounder ... Oh wait... south of Bombay doesn't count?

Kawakawa Bay to Orere point turnoff

Out of Auckland I know but man oh man, the run from Coro to Whitianga or vice versa. Drool, dribble ......
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

Oh I take that most days.... Neilson St offramp on Mangere Bridge, right? Horribly bumpy piece of shit. That's why I try to go Queenstown Rd and go along Manukau Rd instead. Would be fun if it were not corrugated and there was no traffic.

    Two favourite:
    1. The left turn out of my street.
    2. The right turn into my street.
