    zapf photo ripoff

I ordered Some photos from ZAPF back in Novemeber at the Kiwibiker trackday, I paid for them way back then and still 5-6 MONTHS later I still havent got them despite repeated requests.
Im interested to know who else has paid this prick money for photos and has never recieved them.
Im basically taking this guys ripoff scheme to a higher authority and I am interested to hear from other victims of his little scheme
    Comments appreciated

Yep, mistakes happen. But if Quasi has repeatedly requested the photo's then he should have been given his money back or given the photos. In fact, after 6 months he should be given a refund AND the photos. I know I do freebies for customers if I miss appointments etc. Kiwi customer service at it's best.

i'm used to it being the other way round, sending out the photos and waiting weeks for a cheque to arrive.

Sometimes I may get slack if it's the other way round but after repeated requests eventually get round to doing what is asked of me.

Hope they turn up soon Quasi

Hey Quas, are you after prints or electronic images?

I can lend you some nice ones of me on my bike if that'll help.

Well, this makes at least three of us.

I paid for hardcopies and electronic copies. I have only received the electronic ones.

Despite several reminder e-mails, I have not had a reply. Nothing to tell me I got it mixed up and I was wrong, nothing to say that they were on the way, nothing to say that there would be a bit of a delay cos he was busy.

    That isn't a mistake.

I know at least one other person who has has the same experience.

    Zapf, what's the story?

Yep sorry that was me typing - wrong log in.

I got my photos from him alright - how much effort have you made to get in touch with him before shouting out on the website?

I'll wait for him to reply... but I know that the email server can block emails, so he would never know that you are contacting him...

Yep this can happen..... my xtra webmail has thrown a few emails into the trash can, so that they never came into my 'inbox' at all. Plus they were from people that have been in my address book for a long time.

Heck even xtra sends their own 'Max newman emails' to my spam folder lol.
One in 6 will get throu to me... lol.

I was lucky to have spotted the important email. Only discovered it when I went into the webmail every two weeks to do a clean out of the spam and spotted a couple sitting in the 'trash box'. It was huh ! better see what they are, cos I never sent them there.

So emails can get lost, without your knowledge.

Now I go there every week if I remember that is.

Many people dont bother with checking via xtramail now known as webmail or other setup that there comps have for their emails.

Im not excusing what has happened, just explaining what may have happened to emails being sent to people.

    Add one more

I'm with Quasi. I paid for electronic and paper pics and after two reminders still no hard copies! 6 months is beyond reasonable doubt - Lets hang em.
I regret leaping to zapf defence when people were slagging him off for charging a fee at TTD3 (Nov 06). I happily paid the fee but did expect something in return.
ps- he replied to my PMs and said he would get on to it soon. 6 months is not soon.

    1) Firewalls don't generally block e-mails from an address once you reply to that address. In my case, 2-way contact had already been established.

    2) He will have received PM's. If you visit KB (which he has done since), he wil have recieved reminder PM's, if they were sent.

    3) TD4 (which is what we are talking about) was in NOV 2006. We are not talking about TD5 earlier this month.

I was going to chalk this one up to experience, as I haven't actually seen him since Nov '06, and didn't realise I wasn't the only one. But now we're talking about it........
