Wouldn't need to go to Dealer in NZ. The tosser would have posted, bragged on KB!
Thats the problem. What happens when hormonal immature fucktards think they are capable of much higher skills than they are?
And regarding the biker in question- he broke the law. Plain and simple. Worse, he thinks he is above the law because "he doesnt agree with the existance of them(speed cameras)" Hello ! I bet crims dont like the facts it illegal to steal your stuff or make P either! If you dont like the laws, go lobby the government, dont decide that you're special and they dont apply to you

I agree that people that drive outside their limits are a problem. Personally I'd far rather have no speed limit and just throw the book at anybody that directly caused an accident by whatever means (proof of the pudding model).
Laws do apply to me. If I don't agree with a law I may decide to ignore it depending on the likelihood of getting caught and what the consequences are. If I do get caught the I'll take the penalty without complaint.
Lobbying government won't help because logic never wins over emotion.
On a related note, it has been shown that where speed limits have removed the accident rate has actually dropped. If anyone's interested I think I've got a PDF somewhere of the "Investigate" magazine article.
Bullets are harmless, it's the idiot holding the gun you have to worry about.
The only problem there is that people have to die first. A prick who causes a family of people to die while killing himself is hardly justice.
I would say that speed limits were probably first instated because of some idiots who thought they could ride faster than they can. It's like a lot of things in our society. Labels on jars, learner licences etc.
I know it's probably impractical, but a licence to go over the speed limit would be sweet. Some kind of elite training you'd have to go through. Then again, analysts say the roads can't handle the speeds...shrug! Just thoughts.
"Now you've got it. If you owned a Honda then your opinion would matter. You would then know the Ducati you don't own runs like crap." - howie (DML)
It's not about justice. Justice will always be after the fact. It's about deterrent. You'd have to be damn sure that you could handle it before you pushed your vehicle. You'd still have reckless and dangerous driving in the police arsenal.
You're probably right. The trouble with this, as with a a lot of laws, is that the freedom of the majority is curtailed because of the antics of a few idiots and the pain of a few victims.
I'd be right behind you on this one. It may well be a good compromise.
I suspect that this depends on the road (and the analyst).
