URGENT: Parking needed in Wellington city centre

So im stuck in a god damned city centre hostel for the rest of the week and I need my bike to ride to work. Last night I left it parked in one of the motorbike parking bays but I woke up with nightmares of it lying on its side in the rain so I cant leave it there for the rest of the week.

Does anyone know where I can leave my bike safe & covered and preferably for free or very cheap??? Its gonna kill me to leave it out in the open over night again.

    Thanks

You will probably find that most of the parking buildings have dedicated bike spaces. Check with the monkey at the kiosk, to be sure though.

Not many of the parking buildings in Wellington appear to have parking .. and are fairly accessible .... it dependso on where you are and where you need your bike to be ... I park during business hours under the central Library ... They close from 12 am to 7 am ... if your bike is in there in those hours its pretty safe ...

The james smith carpark has bike parking area .. underneath the car return ramp .. it is free .. but the public have 24 hour access ...

Go for a walk around that area, LOOK hard, ask silly questions from people that have control of places you COULD park.... key word ASK...
Buy a blue cover from the Warehouse if you can park off street, but not inside... a few bungy's come in handy too for this...

James Smiths should be pretty safe - they have cameras / onsite staff. Failing that, park it outside the Central Police Stn... wouldnt figure too much would happen to it there.

i stayed in the comfort hotel in wellington last year and they let me park in their basement car park for free - locked overnight but unlocked during the day. was close to town and not too exspensive. maybe its worth going to stay there if you cant find anywhere to leave your bike
