    Stories

Hi, just thought I'd let everyone know of one of my adventures. I never realised the amount of cop's that are on our roads late at night.

I won't give too many details so here goes.

I was heading home one night, at around 10pm on SH1 near Somewhere . I was being law abiding until then and decided to open the bike up abit. Was cruising at 220ks, no cars around. Went past a car parked on the other side of the road. Fuck me it was the Police, 1 officer standing outside the car. (not sure wot he was doing, checking my speed probably), so in my stupidity, I kept going at that speed, whew lucky I thought.

Approached a line of traffic further up, slowed to 200k no oncoming cars, over took them, shit!! Highway patrol unit sitting in the middle of the cars, went past him (no time to stop). Red and Blues went on, so what do I do. I keep going, heart racing. Patrol unit still following, speedo reading 250k, losing the unit. Then no red and blues. Gone.

So I slow to 160k, get my composure. Whew Luuuucky. Approach some other car, then the red and blues on that car go on, "shit" I think and go flying past him at 220k, lose him. All these ones patrol units within 5 minutes of each other. And You guess it ( if you are guessing) there is another 1 waiting for me up the road, doh. Realise I'll get a beating if I stop now, off I go and lose that 1.

4 Patrol units in 15mins. couldn't believe it, in the middle of nowhere. Oh well
spose they have a job to do.

It was a good ride apart from that.

Any stories like these from riders.

    Cheers

Besides my wee FiZzeR 250 cannot do speeds capable of outrunning cops. Doubt I would ever try

When I read this story, the word "Dickhead" shot through my head, prefaced by a strong expletive starting with F. But hey. If you want to kill youself, and perhaps a few innocent road users and give the rest of us bikers a bad name, just go for it. Just don't expect any support or sympathy from me.

I'm with you on this one Hitcher. All through these threads people keep commenting how we have a bad image, now we know why.
At those sorts of speeds there aint no way a boy can see enough road at night to be safe. The head light of a bike would be no good at warning people of an approaching bike, they just aint expecting them lights to be traveling so fast,
Surely hope this is one of those stories that ends up with "Then I woke up"

I read this and then came back to see if my fertile imagination was at work or not. It wasn't.

Bench racing mark: 9/10, could have used more swear words.

In touch with reality score: 2/10, believes in the existence of the Police.

Motorcyclist's reputation enhancement score: 0.5/10, would have gotten 0 if you had been doing a 220km/hr wheelie.

Nope, that is the one where there is no involvement of parents and birth consists of crawling out from under a large flat rock.

Much as I, like anyone else, enjoy the feeling of acceleration, there's a time and place for it. And nightime is definitely not the place for it. You live close enough to Manfeild - I would respectfully suggest you take advantage of their track days.

I can now see the Horowhenua law enforcement will be out for the rest of us bikers for a while now.

Any of us guys that cop a speeding ticket for exceeding the limit by a small amount will probably have you to thank for it.

I'm just glad you didn't kill anyone. Save it for the track.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

at 120kms in remote north island I failed to see the three horses running loose on the road. Luckily they were on the right side and i missed them. filled my undies which is better than if Id hit them at 200k's. None of us are innocent but that sorta behaviour gets us all in the shit. I dont like cops giving me a hard time cause somebody else on a faster bike left them for dead. Go scare yourself on some twisties and if you find the right ones your not breaking the limit either. Your right tho, they woulda given you a beating.

Dont know if Id run from the cops any way. the old run/fight juice does nothing in the way of performance thinking and imagine how shit youd feel if you found out some bobbie killed himself trying to catch up. Is that a cue for someone to introduce some "I hate cop" remarks ?

Thanks for the feed back, yep I know it was stupid, but not reflecting on that, as who hasn't done dumb things (C'mon be honest) I'm not talking about traffic either. I don't hate cops, as they only have a job to do.

Why I did it, not sure really. But that was the worst thing I've ever done on the bike.

Guy's got any stories?? trips overseas, bad roads to avoid in NZ???

On second thoughts, all you morons who didn't like what I did, can all F off.
I thought this site was for bikers who love to ride fast not for pussies as most of you guys seem to be.

You only live once, so go for it, and if you don't like it then piss off to the girlies web site and play with your barbie dolls, or sux on your mothers tits.

And if you don't want to be on my vid, good as you will probably bring your mums along to hold your hands.

Get a life you twats, and grow bigger balls, I think you are all a bunch of hypocrits. Shootig someone down for riding fast, thats what bikes are for fuck heads, not for going on a Sunday ride with your mama.

I know girl bikers with more guts than some of you clits. I will still be making the vid,.

An extremely mature and well-reasoned response. Failure to accept responsibility for your actions and descending into a tirade of personal abuse against people who may have a differing view to yourself will make you many friends and take you far on your journey through life. Hopefully far from me and mine when we are out riding.
