Firstly - I am assuming your original post was bullshit and it was pure trolling. Travelling at anything over the speed limit on a well used and regular piece of NZ highway is nothing short of insanely stupid, and quite frankly who cares - any moron can travel at speed in a straight line.

I also think that had you kept the number of police to a realistic number, some of us may have believed you, but I think you went a little too far and way in to the realms of 'made the story up while stoned on the couch' territory. Now are you sure this didn't happen on your playstation 2 just prior to your mum telling you off for playing late on a school night?

Now to answer your points in turn

I thought this site was for bikers who love to ride fast not for pussies as most of you guys seem to be.
If this is what you think - you better fuck off. And here is hoping you never come on a ride with me. What is your obsessions with riding fast? You have yet to prove anything. Any fuckwit can ride fast on a straight bit of state highway.....and I use fuckwit pointedly! All this proves is you are a typical straight line jockey.

I bet you own a boy racer car and use the words owned and pwned.

We are all about riding fast - just not fucken stupid.....try to find out the difference!

    Now this is just trolling.

I think you are a little misguided here. No one on here will attest to never riding fast. However most on here know where and when to do it, and are more concerned in point to point speed, not terminal velocity. As I said above, any pillock can travel at 300kph if they so choose.......but I bet you walk your bike around the corners! Show us some pics of your chicken strips?

Quite frankly I just find you mildly amusing - in a 'playing counterstrike with 10 year olds' kinda way.

I bet you don't have a bike, and nor did the story actually occur at all.

Once you have ridden with people on here, then spin shit.....until then, just spout bullshit

I'm not one to talk as i've gapped it a few times, been caught a few times to, not something i'm proud about or brag about.
But i'm sure there are alot of people on this site who have pinned it away from the police, correct me if i'm wrong please.

But the one thing i can't understand is, if i ever get into that kinda situation i get off the MAIN road asap and park up somewhere, this carries advantages:
    1. You're not risking your life or others.
    2. You're not going to wirte your bike off.
    3. Shorter the better

You always gotta think at that kinda speed if someone wants to pass, they (hopefully) look in their mirrors, see you miles behind and pull out, why not? The fact that you're pulling in excess of 200kph means you're be saying hello to there bumper, what did they do wrong? (apart from being in a car)

Carry on down SH1 of all the roads to be going down and stay on it, of course there are going to be more cops further on. I was riding home from welly today, got onto Gordonton Rd jus outta Hamilton and saw two HP with a kay of each other 5 km down a rego an WOF checkpoint, then a patrol guy where it meet with SH1. Twas a slow steady trip to auckland.

I'm not going to bag you for what you did The One, i just think you could've handled it a whole lot better and a whole lot safer, yes save it for the track but i know alot of guys who go fast on the road and yes it is irresponsiable (sp) (bad education) but we do it for reason's unknown, and enjoy it but there are far better roads than SH1 to be on, with less traffic and police, roads where 120-140kph is fast, the corners mate that's where it's ALL at.

    Ride safe and have fun.

Just out of noseyness, are there roads up there that could hold a sustained speed for that long.We are looking at about 55k or there abouts, that is a conservative gestimate to.

Himitangi Straits you could do that speed, if there was NO wind and conditions were perfect, your bike was set up well and you were bloody lucky.

In the real world, it's usually blowing on Himitangi Straits, which is muffled somewhat by the trees on the side of the road, which create intermittent wind effects, there are cars everywhere and the road is imperfect.

Incidentally, a quick google tells me the official NZ Land Speed Record for a 2 wheeled vehicle has stood since 2 July 1955, when Russell Wright achieved 185.15 mph in Swannanoa on a Vincent Black Lightning.

Perhaps you could try and officially break the record, The One?
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I am pretty sure that was been beaten by John Hepburn on a Hayabusa at 314kmh on a road about 25min this side of Invercargill about 4 years ago

After Russell Wright set that record they bolted on a third wheel and Bob Burns then set a sidecar land speed record at 155mph
"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough power."

Maybe I should have a crack, any speed runs you know that is coming up. And I'll say it again yes, I fuck'ed up I've said my piece, but If people want to keep talking shit to me then expect to get it back, that is all!

I wasn't looking for any respect from this forum with that story, it was what happened one day/night, and have already been to Court. And how's this for a sux judicial system, only got $600 fine. Sad aye.

Have fun, and if the is any more bitching toward me, i will have to change this thread to. "Let's shit on the one", who knows might be a good place to let off some steam, aye blakamin!!!

    The One

    P.S

I'm going for a ride, wonder how fast I can make it to Wellington? (Just kidding)

What you fail to mention here are the rules surrounding the measurement of the 'land speed' records....ie measured as an average speed between two markers 1km apart with only 3km run up and run down either side and the second pass needs to be made within 60mins and the average of these two passes are taken. This is a long long long long way from terminal velocity
