    Stories

Hi, just thought I'd let everyone know of one of my adventures. I never realised the amount of cop's that are on our roads late at night.

I won't give too many details so here goes.

I was heading home one night, at around 10pm on SH1 near Somewhere . I was being law abiding until then and decided to open the bike up abit. Was cruising at 220ks, no cars around. Went past a car parked on the other side of the road. Fuck me it was the Police, 1 officer standing outside the car. (not sure wot he was doing, checking my speed probably), so in my stupidity, I kept going at that speed, whew lucky I thought.

Approached a line of traffic further up, slowed to 200k no oncoming cars, over took them, shit!! Highway patrol unit sitting in the middle of the cars, went past him (no time to stop). Red and Blues went on, so what do I do. I keep going, heart racing. Patrol unit still following, speedo reading 250k, losing the unit. Then no red and blues. Gone.

So I slow to 160k, get my composure. Whew Luuuucky. Approach some other car, then the red and blues on that car go on, "shit" I think and go flying past him at 220k, lose him. All these ones patrol units within 5 minutes of each other. And You guess it ( if you are guessing) there is another 1 waiting for me up the road, doh. Realise I'll get a beating if I stop now, off I go and lose that 1.

4 Patrol units in 15mins. couldn't believe it, in the middle of nowhere. Oh well
spose they have a job to do.

It was a good ride apart from that.

Any stories like these from riders.

    Cheers

Sorry Mate! No story I could make up could BEAT that! How long did it take for the pulse to return to normal???????? LMAO

Besides my wee FiZzeR 250 cannot do speeds capable of outrunning cops. Doubt I would ever try

When I read this story, the word "Dickhead" shot through my head, prefaced by a strong expletive starting with F. But hey. If you want to kill youself, and perhaps a few innocent road users and give the rest of us bikers a bad name, just go for it. Just don't expect any support or sympathy from me.

I'm with you on this one Hitcher. All through these threads people keep commenting how we have a bad image, now we know why.
At those sorts of speeds there aint no way a boy can see enough road at night to be safe. The head light of a bike would be no good at warning people of an approaching bike, they just aint expecting them lights to be traveling so fast,
Surely hope this is one of those stories that ends up with "Then I woke up"

I read this and then came back to see if my fertile imagination was at work or not. It wasn't.

Bench racing mark: 9/10, could have used more swear words.

In touch with reality score: 2/10, believes in the existence of the Police.

Motorcyclist's reputation enhancement score: 0.5/10, would have gotten 0 if you had been doing a 220km/hr wheelie.

Nope, that is the one where there is no involvement of parents and birth consists of crawling out from under a large flat rock.

Much as I, like anyone else, enjoy the feeling of acceleration, there's a time and place for it. And nightime is definitely not the place for it. You live close enough to Manfeild - I would respectfully suggest you take advantage of their track days.

I can now see the Horowhenua law enforcement will be out for the rest of us bikers for a while now.

Any of us guys that cop a speeding ticket for exceeding the limit by a small amount will probably have you to thank for it.

I'm just glad you didn't kill anyone. Save it for the track.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

at 120kms in remote north island I failed to see the three horses running loose on the road. Luckily they were on the right side and i missed them. filled my undies which is better than if Id hit them at 200k's. None of us are innocent but that sorta behaviour gets us all in the shit. I dont like cops giving me a hard time cause somebody else on a faster bike left them for dead. Go scare yourself on some twisties and if you find the right ones your not breaking the limit either. Your right tho, they woulda given you a beating.

Dont know if Id run from the cops any way. the old run/fight juice does nothing in the way of performance thinking and imagine how shit youd feel if you found out some bobbie killed himself trying to catch up. Is that a cue for someone to introduce some "I hate cop" remarks ?

Thanks for the feed back, yep I know it was stupid, but not reflecting on that, as who hasn't done dumb things (C'mon be honest) I'm not talking about traffic either. I don't hate cops, as they only have a job to do.

Why I did it, not sure really. But that was the worst thing I've ever done on the bike.

Guy's got any stories?? trips overseas, bad roads to avoid in NZ???

On second thoughts, all you morons who didn't like what I did, can all F off.
I thought this site was for bikers who love to ride fast not for pussies as most of you guys seem to be.

You only live once, so go for it, and if you don't like it then piss off to the girlies web site and play with your barbie dolls, or sux on your mothers tits.

And if you don't want to be on my vid, good as you will probably bring your mums along to hold your hands.

Get a life you twats, and grow bigger balls, I think you are all a bunch of hypocrits. Shootig someone down for riding fast, thats what bikes are for fuck heads, not for going on a Sunday ride with your mama.

I know girl bikers with more guts than some of you clits. I will still be making the vid,.

An extremely mature and well-reasoned response. Failure to accept responsibility for your actions and descending into a tirade of personal abuse against people who may have a differing view to yourself will make you many friends and take you far on your journey through life. Hopefully far from me and mine when we are out riding.

Lol, no this bike site is for bikers. Nothing to do with "riding fast", or else i'm in the wrong place.

IMO if you want to make a vid and you want to put stupid stuff on it like this please don't associate it with kiwibiker in any way shape or form. Actually the best vid I think you can make is to reanact your "stunt" from the first post. Make sure you get a good shot of your number plate and make sure the speedo is in the pic. Then just upload it on here, heaps of people will love it.

Yes, bikes are for riding fast, on the track. The road has a speed limit for a reason. If you want to think that you can ride as fast as you can, stay the hell away from me.

Just wish I'd brought some popcorn along.
And that popcorn wasn't so horrible.

There is a difference between dumb behaviour and completley dangerous, reckless use of a motorvehicle. You were obviously born without the common sense gene, is your mother your auntie by any chance??

I'll save my stories untill I can tell the one about a Levin hillbilly riding a 924 Fireblade vaporising himself at over 220 kph. Lets hope the story doesn't include the messy end to some innocent persons life as well. But rest assured the story will end with "and the rest of motorcycling universe rejoiced in the fact that this road criminal was no longer around to give them all a bad name".

A lot bloody less than 250km/hr...

Let's just say I never got out of 2nd gear

    Dear THE ONE

I would love to bring my Mummy along and be on your vid but i dont have a Mummy anymore cos she was killed in a car accident involving someone who thought that life was for living and liked to go fast.
But never mind, at least the guy lived the way he wanted to live, just means Mummy couldnt live her life too.
So all power to you mate, hope you live life the way you want and dont you go around worrying whose mummy gets in the way will you. After all their only good for sucking on their tits aye.
    You are my my hero.

And you didn't go gloating about it afterwards either.

Just a question (and I may be wrong), but I have never actually heard of a CBR924 before. There is a 929 and a 954, but not sure about a 924. Anyone know? Maybe he has a special one of a kind model honda made specially for him.

Heehee. I was thinking the same thing..
I gota sort of agree with The One though.
Plenty of people here have done silly things and posted them here.
The Ones crime was that he is new here and we dont know him.

That said, his STORY was probably just that, a story, and a pretty dumb thing to do.
I have cleaned up enough mess like Marty and Spudchuka et al have to get pissed off with riders like this, but it seems like a few pots calling kettles black me thinks......

Can someone please post the 'kiwibiker' speed limit? for all the backslapping that goes on around here after some group rides about how fast they are theres a hell of a lot of bitching going on.

Or is it New Zealands 'tall poppy syndrome' - (I would be fine going that fast, but he's probably a useless rider)

Unless anyone else was there to see the EXACT road, and the EXACT amount of traffic and know the riding level of that EXACT rider then lay off a bit, by his own admission "in my stupidity,"

The One - probably would have paid to leave that story till you hit the 50 post mark then no-one would have batted an eyelid.

I think the point is that none of us are without sin, but we aren't silly enought to use a public forum to brag about our "achievements". It's precisely the type of squid behaviour glorified in "extreme" stunting DVDs that this character wants to try and replicate.

For all those who think they can't be identified via this site because of your alias, it is literally five minutes work to identify the person and identify the physical location you are posting from, provided you can have a quiet chat to a techie at a Telco.

Looks like the some of the more moderate of the members have decided (all at the same time) to pacify the situation. Stick with us 1, sometimes we have constructive conversations.

Enough from me I've said my bit. No offence to anyone but if you are gonna give shit then be prepared to take it as well.

Funny though, mostly all of the bikers I have met, have Go Fast stories, (Not all running from the police like me tho). Yet when I post a story, which I'm certain most bikers have gone to 200k (It's just so easy), everyone has to go to the toilet and take a great big shit.

Maybe I should of waited till I had made a few posts, but whats done is done.

Have a nice day and awesome rides!!!

    Yeah good on ya!

I've heard this shit all my riding life (33 years) from the real hard men of biking! Trust me, in a couple of years you will be pushing a pram about or have taken up some other hobby and you probably won't even own a bike.

What people are objecting to is NOT your freedom to kill yourself in the manner of your choice but that you are likely to cause a horrific accident, kill an innocent, squander already stretched medical resources and harden the attitude of the front line police and the law makers and thus rob us of OUR freedom to ride how we choose!

Doing what you did requires no special talent, just luck and a big bike! Thats not sustainable in the real world. I'll tell you what!! If you are that good, take it to the track and show us what you are made of. I'll even pay your entry for you (seriously) and act as your pit crew for the day if you like! (wadda you reckon guys, anyone else want to chip in to help out the next Rossi)

    Hey Paul in NZ.

I never mentioned I was "that good" but like you said, I had luck and a big bike.

But if you want to be my crew chief I'll take your offer. hehe.

Oh and please don't ruin the name of Rossi, by saying "I'm the next Rossi" (or on the same lines} thats just being offensive to Rossi.

    Actually..

You have a point and we should not be too pious here... We've all done dumb shit. I just would not be so ready to tell others about it.

Seriously though, please be a little more careful about where you choose to do this stuff OK!

    Cheers (and good luck)

I thought this site was for bikers who love to ride fast not for pussies as most of you guys seem to be.

Get a life you twats, and grow bigger balls, I think you are all a bunch of hypocrits. Shootig someone down for riding fast, thats what bikes are for fuck heads, not for going on a Sunday ride with your mama.
1)Bikes are for having fun on. I own a bike with a top speed of 168 (factory). I still do speed, occasionally. It is by far easier, cheaper and less dangerous to have fun going round corners, I suggest you try it. Find some nice twisty road and go for it. If you want to wank on about doing 250kmh and outrunning cops, feel free, but its not going to gain you any credit. FWIW, the attitude around here seems not to be about top speed (maybe you spent too much time on US bike forums?) but about cornering ability. Biking is about skill, not speed.

2)200kmh is straight out dangerous. With a wind gust, you could be off the road before you react, unless you are a professional racer with the best reaction times. Go and do what you want, but no, this site is not for bikers who want to ride fast. Open your mind a bit to the possibilities of people not thinking like you do. It is for anyone who likes 2 wheels, including touring bikes, cruisers, scooters etc etc. I guess a large number of harley riders do go out for sunday rides? But they arent real bikes huh. Just wannabe fuckers with too much money. A bit like BMW riders.

3)I would be careful how many people on this site you are calling pussies for not being fuckwits. Next time you might want to use your brain and think about what you are saying instead of just mouthing off on an internet forum.

    4) In case you are wondering why i am on here, it is good fun to talk to most of the people here, pick up tips/info and occasionally meet more bikers.

Umm, if the post had been about "I fucked up" or "Dont try this at home, its, like, bad, man", no worries. Bragging about it in an attempt to gain respect is shit. I'd do my best to discourage dumb shit like that. Never mind the PC crap attitude saying dont tell someone off. The more the attitude gets out there that this sort of thing is fuckwitted, the less people will do it. I'd prefer not to be banned from B-roads when I get to Britain thanks.

Yes speeding lilke that may be fun and something some people might want to do for the adrenalin buzz, so is killing people. Feeling of power etc. Anyone read any psychology of rapists/murderers?. I'm not equating the two, but it is a similar rationale, just that society thinks worse of the second one than the first. I seem to recall that reductio ad absurdum was a valid tactic. The One, I'm not labelling you a murderer/rapist, let me make that clear.

My dumb shit moment? perhaps a few close cuts in while commuting (One forcing locked brakes), or chasing a 325i back from Piha (max speed about 150 along a straight). TBH I dont think that is dumb shit. Illegal, yes, and dangerous mostly to myself. Didnt go out of my lane, no overtaking etc...
I've put my dumb shit moment out there, you tell me whether I'm "allowed" to give this guy shit for his.
