Hi,
I picked up my CR250 the other day, was getting a 91 CR250, long story short I got a different bike, a 93 CR250 with a fresh rebuild.
now...when I picked it up it idled fine, no probs. I went to start it just before (first time I've fired it up since I got it) after turning the choke off it wouldn't idle right...kepts idling lower then stall. So...I thought, lets find the idle screw...oh...there it is (just above the float bowl in the carb...yeah, I now know) so adjusted that but didn't make a difference...bugger I thought and put it back to where it was (so I thought) and did some searching on the net and found out thats the fuel mixture screw...doh!! so now I've prob stuffed up the mixture.
So...2 questions
1) How many turns out should the mixture screw be set at for a 1993 CR250 for a safe setup (don't race, just going to piss around with mates)?
2) Is the idle adjustment just turning the choke left and right? sounds like the newer ones are like that but couldn't find anything for the 93 model. If so I must have moved it when putting the choke on today...and now with the mixture out it def wont idle no matter what I do.
Its smoking alot more so guessing its running majorly rich.
Any help would be great, really want the bike running right for the weekend.
(Please note: I'm a 2 stroke n00b when it comes to tuning and the like)
