But doesn't fanging around at 180-200km/h get tiring after a while? Big reason why I'm making the move away from nekids very shortly.

Exactly mate, exactly! Sure I can see if one has never had he luxury of doing such speeds so easily why one would been keen to have it on tap but it does get mundane after a while.

Nah not really but then again I was single for a while so have a good grip on me
If I wanted to go fast over a long period of time I'll take either the RSVR or ZX10 out for the day but to be honest I'm a bit bored with the constant high speed buzz...been there, done that. Also I prefer tight twisties and for the life of me I was unable to do 180kmph around a 55km corner

Yup just as tiring as head down and arse up for a 6 footer trying to stay behind a tiny screen at 200 Kliks plus.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

    You'll be back!

Stick with the nekkids or semi-nekkids.

    Or buy a Vstrom

Fair enough. We don't have too much to choose from around here in the way of twisties. If I lived close to Coro or North Auck then I'm not sure I'd be that worried either.

Tell me, would you push the front end of the Duke as hard as you'd push the 10R/RSVR?

Hmmmmm....given that I'm riding it faster/harder through the twisties I'd say yes I am pushing the Duke's front harder. I had to replace the front tyre this morning after last sunday's wee jaunt.
When living up North I used to push my ZX10 HARD through the sweepers etc but still I feel more planted on the S'Duke

I know you didn't ask me but my previous bike was a 2000R (first of the blinged Aprilias, not counting the SP) & it just feels wrong for the first few rides (Super Duke) & then she feels soooo right, very planted !! Once I set the suspension for my lard arse it's all good

Yeah, I did know you've had an RSVR ...I get the 'just feels wrong' every time I get back on my bike after riding a sportsbike.

What a cool thread. As Gijoe said, I can feel your enthusiasm from here! Messes with the sprotsbike rider's brain, that's what it does. Fsck it.

Hey DMNTD, have you had any run-ins with the Police on the KTM yet? If so, how does it 'get away' compared to the ZX?

I think the definite answer is, if you can afford a S'Duke, get it
