To be fair I dont know enough about the industry to say that he doesnt, but what I do know is that mine came with all its packaging, manuals, serial numbers and works like a bloody dream so thats good enough for me.

Don't stress too much about radar when you are in trafic, it doesn't work. Laser is the enemy in traffic.
