    Japanese Classics May Run...

Another good turnout, the best in fact. Except. We were stopped in Little River on the way to Akaroa, chillin' with coffee and as we used to say in the army, "smoke, if you have 'em" and some guy just nonchalantly cruises by on his silver CBX. You probably didn't see us but if you had pulled over for a chat you would have been warmly welcomed so don't be a stranger next time. Cheers.......

So where do you guys meet etc? I'm just in the process of restoring my 1974 Suzuki GT750L, had it about 28 years and thought I'd better do something with it.

Hi, just check the calendar of events on this site. We ride once a month, usually the third or fourth Sunday. It would be nice to meet you.

Ok, will keep it in mind for next month, hope ya don't mind if I turn up on my late model bike just to meet you, still going to be a while before the old Water Bus is actually going, hopefully looking at late this year or early next year just depends on how I go for parts, this is a full restore with mostly NOS parts being installed.

Of course you are more than welcome Neville. This might just be the kicker to get the project finished. Cheers....

Ok, great, anyone of your guys got a Water Bus? I'm not really in that much of a hurry to get it finished, like I said I've had this thing for 28 odd years so a bit longer won't worry me and I don't want to rush the job and make do with parts that are not quite as good as they could be. The frame is pretty much complete with all paint work and chrome done, everything is either NOS parts, been re-chromed, painted, powder coated or zinc plated and polished, right down to the last nut, bolt and washer and is all assembled ready for the engine, which I'm in the process of collecting parts which I think I'll need before stripping it down, I even managed to get hold of a complete NOS exhaust system, although new and never been on a bike the chrome has got a bit scratched up over the years so they will need to be re-chromed.
