I'll see if I can find it. I have a sneaking suspicion someone already has it though...

Anyone else sick of Suzuki parts prices and availability or is it just me?

I ordered a stator side cover gasket, Slim little thing it is, made of paper... $30.00.

None in the country, will be a shipment in tomorrow so you will see it by friday.

That was the 22nd of november....

Now im told it wont be in until the 7th December.

Come on, its a lousy piece of paper....

$300+ for a head light. Get real! you can get a BMW car headlight for that!

Cheap to buy, expensive for bits.....

    Go Yamaha next time.

I've just discovered my headlight protector (says Ventura on it) is broken. I've had a bit of a search and there seem to be some fairly expensive options for a fairly simple piece of plastic. What are other people using and where did they get them?

I use a ventura on the DR and a chunk of polycarb on the TT.

For me biffing the bike round in the sticks and living away from workshops with diagnostics this is not welcome news, not longer will #8 wire and block of wood fix it .

We have our bikes ordered ... they are gray, the last of the generation maybe.
Now that's interesting. Why would they delete a stalwart like that? Your new ones may have even more historical relevance at the end of your trip eh?

I import most of my parts from the US, most of the time it's 1/2 price or less including the freight, they have it in stock and it takes 5-7 days, I like to buy off local suppliers but when there's no competition in the market place the price is sky high, the local dealer here is about 20% dearer than all the other dealers in this area, I vote with my feet.

I use http://www.bikebandit.com for OEM & AMP parts, also clothing, boots trying to find stuff for my height from the local shops is a nightmare and the difference in price is what they ask for here.

These things are easy to make. If they need a curve just use a paint stripping heat gun thingymy. Ensure you buy waterproof velcro dots mmmkay.

Cheapest one on Ebay is $25 USD for 2002 model. If you can use TradeMe, you can use Ebay. Add another $25 at a guess for shipping to NZ.
I know what I'd be doing, those NZ new prices are a joke.

There are lots of options available. A lot of us like the Pivot Pegz as they also rotate backs and forwards and are much more comfortable.

its usually cheaper, and often quicker to order from overseas. If your visa card can handle it checkout www.procycle.us or www.vincestrangmotorcycles.com.au, just don't blame me if you blow your credit limit after checking out procycle.

A couple of us got some of the Ebay $18us cast footpegs and love them.

I'll see if I can find a pic...

The one on the bike is larger than the DR stock one...
