    ok one more question

on my klr if i went through the sand bits past red rocks i'd be going slow and sometimes quite deep and at high rpms. mainly because it was a bit heavy and sometimes the sand was extra fluffy (or i got too far into the surf).

so couple times i had some issues where it'd get hot. these happened normally because the fan stopped working for whatever reason. so i'm a little bit nervious in the sand.

in any case -- i don't particularly like sand but i find myself in it often enough when i leave the pavement.

and now! with an equivalent engine in the dr650 -- i'm excavating sand like a champ but i have no fan! no coolant! it's surreal. I assume the engine just runs hotter and deals with it? if there are any problems it'll seize to let me know what's going on?

never had an air cooled engine before. it's scarey!

I got my seat fixed buy ordering a new seat foam and cover from Seat Concepts. You use the seat base and glue on the new foam and staple on the cover. Around $200nz landed. That left $400 for other stuff.

Just been having a look through the Procycle and keintech sites, jeez, what a range of bits for the Dr650, Are there any agents for them in NZ or is it cheaper to get it direct from the States? (Hopefully will have a DR650 soon)

Get direct. Only takes a week.

I've been waiting 3 weeks for a cam chain for my TT350 ordered locally.

If your total cost is over NZ$400 (products + shipping) then you well probably end up getting a GST Bill, and maybe a

Import entry transaction fee, which includes a Biosecurity fee. Have a look around http://www.customs.govt.nz/inprivate...s/default.aspx
