If you want a DR650 supermotard this is the one to get.

Never sold in NZ, CCM was a UK company that used the DR650 motor with a high compression piston in their own frame and running gear.

53hp, 137kg. I think these's are twin carb so it might use the Freewind head.

    Starting bid $5000, no reserve.

    Whole Freewind engine.

Here's their earlier Rotax powered one back in 2003...

A CCM DS644 would be a good adventure steed.
A DR650 with a good frame, suspension and more power...

By the way...the support vehicle following those trumpers almost took me out on a blind corner just after I left you this morning. He came round the corner way to fast with a trailer on with a conked out triumph on it, freaked out when he sore me locked up the brakes and skidded through the corner, my front wheel stopped 3inchs from the passangers door It was actually quite nostalgic recalling the events of my life flashing before me so in a way I owe him a favour
    ....wherezz that track go

Cheers mate, I will be passing that on to the club captain.
There is no need for that sort of driving when the driver was fully aware that there were bikes on the road.

Not so keen on that, looks a bit too much like the droids you are after

Rear spring preload adjustment, I understand that the rear should not sag more than 25% of the available travel with the rider seated, is this correct?

8-12% or so unloaded and 20-30% loaded according to "Dual Sport Suspension".
My rear is in the ballpark with me at 85kg and a 7.6kg spring.

Ok, another queastion, Mine is an 09 and the rear spring is black, Do the spring colours have anything to do with the rates?
The spring is in the top hole but the preload is wound down to nearly the bottom of the threads so Im on tippy toes and Im 6ft.

Ive sat on a 650 with the spring in the top hole (lowered) and both feet were flat on the ground easy.
