Thanks for that, the spacer has to be D shaped to fit in to the recess at the bottom of the slide, other than that it seems ok, the bike has only done 19,000 kms so there should be bugger all wear, Ive put the clip back into the centre position and I will put the snorkle back on and see what the fuel consumption is like then.

The white spacer is completely round and sits on the top of the D shelf.

Well thats interesting, The spacer in mine is flat across one side and is a neat fit down inside the recess. the thickness of the spacer would be equal to at least 2 clip slots, poss 3, which would have been roughly equal to having the clip in the top slot. The bike would have been running way to lean in that case but it was running sweet except for being a bit thirsty. I value your experience mate but this isn't stacking up, I find it hard to believe that someone would have filed the spacer across one side so it would fit right down in the recess
( and its a perfect fit in there). Will check this out further.

Ok, Have just started the bike and although it runs ok, after about 1 min I could feel the heat coming off the header pipe so super lean although it reved freely enough. When I initially pulled the slide out it was impossible to tell if the spacer was on top of the "D" or down inside it. Ive had a look on a couple of tutorial sites and they both show a round spacer with another washer under it.
If the spacer was originally round, what would have caused one side to wear so much and is there supposed to be a washer under the plastic spacer?

Some do file the spacer to make it fit "just right" and then complain about the poor running.

The spacer on my 2nd carb was over half way to becoming a "D" on it's own.

It's leaned off the equiv of 2 clips or so if it's at the bottom of the D shelf.

I'd raise the needle to the equiv of stock + 1.

How many clips has it got?

You could put some washers on top of the spacer to bring the needle head back up to "proper" height.

The washer as far as I can see is the same thickness as the space between the clip grooves so I have lifted the clip to second from the top so with the washer on it should be the same as the centre groove. I havnt ridden it yet so will see how it goes with fuel consumption.

I've got the Seat Concepts one, it's an improvement but nowhere near as comfy as the Sargent on Big Col's bike.

Nordie will be along soon to say 'do it yourself, it's easy'. It would certainly be a lot cheaper.

I borrowed Eddies and took it to local upholsterer (Kerrys in Levin) Im more than happy with result! $150 all up with new cover! 500k+ rides and no sore butt :-)

I did however start with a Corbin in the first place so even if I stuffed it up, it'd be betterer than the stocker.

Actually, I put a stock seat on for racing and extreme enduro purposes...

My centre stand and H.I.D. lighting kit turned up today from Procycle, 5 days it took from when I ordered it, thought it was going to take a bit longer than that. Just need to go and get it from a friends place, ( I live out in the country so easier to courier to someone in town).
Will post my opinions on both once they are fitted.
