Had my cct leak fixed, mechanic removed the rocker cover and resealed that too (small leak by the spark plug). Have done about 50k so far and cant see any oil so hopefully its sorted.

Now to go pick up barkbusters and my 17" rims from cycletreads

Motard Wheels for DR650 for sale.

Need to sell my motard wheels. Had heaps of fun and use but they have to go, so will be putting them on trade me unless any of you guys are interested.
They take me about 25 mins to change from standard rims to motard as they include disks, sproket and spacers. Currently have 120 and 160 slicks on them but have various other options like Dunlop GPRa's 120/160 for racing 110/150 for road. PM me for details if you are interested. Can get delivered to Ingll Timaru or ChCh depending on race schedules. I will also be throwing in some well scraped frame and axle sliders.

wasn't it nice of the DR rider to let the KLR rider win so he didn't feel so bad about riding a KLR

It's good to see a comparison of two completely stock bikes like that

Do they really - wow. I never saw a KLR Race, which is a shame. I raced my DR 3 years and only came in last once(It still annoys me!). Perhaps if someone on KLR actually raced it I could say I raced DR's for 3 years and NEVER came in last! Come on put it on the track.

I was referring to the american form of racing (NO CORNERS)

on a supermotrd circuit the klr wouldn't see which way the dr went but maybe on a more open circuit it might be interestingly close.

hopping from a klr onto a dr feels like the dr must be 50% smaller - much more than 30kg. off road the klr is at a serious disadvantage but on road the klr is such a comfy armchair

I've said it many times - if I could only have one bike to do everything - it would be a dr650 - despite its total blandness and the gay connotations

Hook, line, and the whole DR sinker I think Mark.

Yep - nothing like a wind up, hah hah! If you really wanted to drag off other Adventure bikes you would never choose either a KLR or DR. Now I could rave on about KTM's and the smarmy superior expressions all thier riders seem to have, but I will not lower myself.

Well OK I will lower myself quite a bit then.
