nice, what did you use to cut the speed sign? Is a speed sign strong enough?
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Jigsaw with a wood bit in it.

2.5mm alloy with a plastic skin.

Any rock impacts can be bashed out with a rubber mallet.
It's more for flicked up rock and stone protection than casing out on rocks.
The DR one was held on by zip-ties and the TT one by a bolt at the front and a pair of zip-ties each side at the back. Used it for 2 years before upgrading to a Suzuki then GP Customs one.

    Better just ride it!
There's exactly this same discussion on the DR650 thread on advrider right now, it sounds like that's just the way the TM40 is.

There is mention that the return spring had 3 tension settings, maybe there's a possibility of adjustment there?

    sup,

ripped off the snorkel from the Dr, runs really well.

read / got told to raise the needle 1-2mm, so i whipped out the needle.

its an adjustable clip type on the 3rd setting (from top of needle). Is this the stock setting?

I couldn't get the damn clip off so i put a 1mm washer under it. Ran like shit, so took it off.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Normally it's snorkel out, raise needle. But not always. It's a CV carb. Constant Variance.

do u know what the stock setting is for the carb? I have a feeling its already been raised, as its on setting 3, could be a 4th one (i.e., max height) that's hidden under the washer

    Mounted my Marving today

Great alternative to GSXR exhaust, weighs a couple of kg less than stock
Sounds ten times better, nice deep sound, not too loud. NZ$350 landed.

Thanks Eddie, havent had time to re-do my routing yet, but will definately have a look at that spring tension setting whilst I'm at it.
