I did mine in the weekend seeing as I had the pipe off anyway. I haven't ridden the bike yet so have no idea if it made any difference. I've seen pics of other pipes that were much worse than mine.

It helps with wheelies with the weight gone coupled with the 60 hp gain .

Seriously, it will help the thing flow a little nicer and coupled with a DJ kit, airbox opening and a pipe they will all make up 1+1+1+1 to make a nice difference, mostly just filling in holes in the fueling and making them run smoother and unblocking them.

It is a free mod thus worth doing

    2009 Brand New Suzukis

Anyone else noticed that there are suddenly a whole bunch of 2009 model DR650s for sale on TradeMe? Couple of other Suzuki models as well. Has someone found a container or two in their back shed or did a load of old models get dropped off by a passing box boat? Me I'm watching the prices.

Thanks for the comments A better pipe is definitely on the list at some point, a little extra HP would be just the ticket

I'd say they're running them out atm, with some pretty sharp prices now and then too!

Like this one, a pretty good price for a new bike registered and ready to go

    New Toy

I bought a DR650 to go on the Coromandel Camp out and Pukemanu w/e and see if this Adventure riding lived up to expectations. I have a 950 Adv but being a complete clutz off road never had the balls to get it dirty except for some gravel. Both trips were great and I want more so after much perusal of TMe I have bought a more youthful DR with plenty of goodies.

Sorry dont know how to shorten the link. I am currently out of the country but back in 10 days or so. If anyone wants an 04 DR 650 with 40 odd thou km all set to go or a mint very low mileage KTM950Adv let me know.
Can't wait to get it dirty.

Nice work. Would velcro hold a screen on?

Any chance the sun would break down the glue on the velcro strip?

Velcro would make it an easy on and off.
