But here's the rub I dont really like the look of the Andy Strapz racks they look a bit spindly to me. The Wolfman ones look tougher and the shape is more pleasing to me. Anyone fitted Andy Strapz panniers to a Wolfman rack? I am going to need a rear rack as well, preferably one that has some grabrail capability. Any NZ options? Any recommendations?

I'm quite interested in it. Any opinions on what it might be worth?

EDIT: Obviously it's worth what someone is willing to pay, I'm wondering what similarly kitted DRs have sold for in recent memory.

My first instinct and dutchie approach is to ring him up and point out everything wrong with it, you will find something to whinge about NEVER praise it

Second is to then lowball him after he is disappointed with his bike and make him feel good about your miserable offer.

If he calls you a bsatid and hangs up I had nothing to do with it

Seriously just look in the advanced options to see what is selling, buyers market a the mo, add up indicative value of goodies on the bike and halve that, add that to a bone stocker with similar kms and you have an indicative start point, then knock 5 hundy of that and call him.

I very recently paid $4500 for a mint '05 with 9000km's on the clock. Mine was stock apart from bar risers and different bars and I was very happy at that price.

The tank is ~$420 new, bark busters $150 or more, Ventura luggage probably $160, bash plate over $100, screen and headlight guard dunno but I would think probably at least $100 for the pair unless you're good enough to make your own.
So in round numbers there's ~$1000 worth of farkles on that bike.

Edit: Cycletreads are currently selling the Ventura racks for $210 http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-406209821.htm

I sold an 07 fully stock to a dealer in March for $5500 so I would happily pay up to $5500 for this if I was in the market. Some of the after market bits were included with the bike in 07.

Looks like a good buy but expect a bit of interest so strike early

I doubt he'd accept what I'd offer but it'll almost certainly reach reserve in which case it'll sell by auction. I'm hoping the other bidders know it's a buyer's market.

That sounds about right for an actual sale price rather than what most people ask for months on end. That said, this sat for months before it sold at full price.

They are good farkles, a lot of them are things I'd end up spending money on if I bought a stock DR. Hmmmm, looks like I might need to go to Taupo this weekend.

I'm passing through Taupo heading north tomorrow but not sure I'd have time to pop in and have a look.

Thanks for the offer, additional eyes on a potential purchase are always valuable but it looks like he's busy tomorrow anyway. I'll ride up on Saturday for a look and try tempting him with some colourful paper.

That'll be a bloody good deal if it stays under $5500.

I'd think about it, but I'm starting to grow a hatred for DR's.

    Congratulations on your new DR.

Maybe we should have a Welly DR night sometime soon.

Bargain, well done. Enjoy the ride home, just wait for a lack of rain.

You may want to consider this. You could gut it a bit more than it has been and it gives you a cheaper exhaust option than either an aftermarket or a GSXR one.
