Thanks for posting Selwyn. We were worried too.

Of course, it doesn't take anything away from how awful this is.

My heart goes out to the rider's family.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I did an anonymous drive by your house and a quick look at the site for any tiger pieces. Wonder who it is, but agreed, who it is doesn't take away how bad it is
This my neighbor, Nursultan Tuleiakbay. He is pain in my assholes. I get a window from a glass, he must get a window from a glass. I get a step, he must get a step. I get a clock-radio, he cannot afford. Great success!

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

I went for a ride up to Palmerston today and just got back about 30 mins ago. As soon as I walked through the door my wife told me about the accident. I didn't know the person but my wife knows the family through her work. Sooo sad as the fallen rider has a young family.

I don't want to tell my wife that neither vehicle was speeding as that'll make her worry even more when I'm out and about.

Condolences to family and those that knew him.

    RIP

He is OK - 37 year old male from P'ram, riding a XJ750, by the looks of it. Rider has a few bruises and abrasions; the XJ is toast. Looking like the ute driver will be facing charges.
ACC - It's where the Enron accountants all went.
