Ego is a terrible thing, moreso when it tears down quality conversation. Sorry to see you take a break Ixion, I look forward to your rebirth.

Sad indeed that one of the most esteemed members feels it necessary to collect his cards. As others have said, there must be more to this than is immediately apparent. If what Ixion hinted at IS the reason, then I fear that we are all on a road to a hiding if we think that KB will be around in the form we know and love for much longer. The Snapd reference was a telling one.
I have enjoyed bantering and helpful exchanges with you, Ixion. Keep well, friend.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

So, how about an explanation? I am always ready to hear both sides and now seems like a bloody good time.
Sounds to me like he didn't like something and was told if he didn't like it (whatever he was objecting to) he could take a hike. No big scandle in that, like it or lump it, the site does belong to Spankme.

You don't leave this site, you leave several thousand friends. That is a hard bridge to burn.

Motorcycling runs in his veins, my bet is he'll be back or at least be a lurker once he has pulled his head in and collected up his toys.

Be nice, certainly the lesser of two weevils.

Maybe you can never step in the same river twice, but the water is as sweet dude.

    All the best.

To Ixion and Motu both - I shall miss your input. I had noticed that both of you were not online so much of late. While I haven't always agreed with your posts, you both contributed so much to the site and your knowledge and opinions were amongst ones that I most respected and commonly sought.

Ixion - you have been a champion of bikers rights, and of the mighty two stroke. Long may your work continue.

Motu - your knowledge of all things mechanical and your clever wit have provided great value to this site. How I miss your reign as Evil Clown - do we even still have that flame warrior or has he too fallen foul of the powers that be?

Gentlemen, may the Biker Gods smile fondly on all your adventures. Respect, and peace out.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Only managed to meat Motu and Ixion once each, but they both seemed top blokes in person and I always enjoyed their posts online.

Well this is sad - especially at a time when I thought the site was actually improving.

Like us all - I've had times when I've walked away from KB. Last time it was because of an element I disapproved of but didn't understand. Eventually I realised that this was simply life teaching me yet another lesson about humanity and since then I have tried not to place my own happiness in the hands of others. It was a worthwhile experience eventually.

Ixion and Motu are a valuable asset to the site but are free to come and go - I suspect like all of us they have led multiple lives and we have not seen the back of them yet as events change us and force us into different roles. Motu i have met in real life, I've spent time under his roof and consider him a friend - please don't be a stranger.

KB has given me a lot - friendships and recently more tangible help. This is a community and I have a feeling it's becoming a better one but perhaps we should all model our ideal behaviours instead of worring too much what others may think of them.

An absolutely resounding silence from the mods here..!
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

    Not quite.

However, Damned if you do and damned if you don't springs to mind.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

    Exactly...

    The truth usually helps.

Just tell us like it is.
