LOL Speedy, yes you did text me, and I appreciated it. It was a nice day for a ride, shame about all the traffic though! It might've been me... You didn't mind passing me on the Teddington straight though, did ya?! Bloody big bikes, I don't know

Have a good weekend, look forward to hearing from you again in the near future.

The five years I lived in ChCh I so loved those roads on the peninsula so I know you have no excuse not to get out there on them.
    Cheers

It's winter now and as of this weekend the rego runs out on the road bike.
And now I rego the trail bike.
    Still keen for a ride?
But sure next summer when I go back to road riding.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

Mine has been sittin idle for a couple of weeks, but thankfully no tears of oil , mm seems to only do that when I ride it.... hope that does not mean anything.

It has other Guzzi's to keep it company.
And it will give me time to change a few things.

And it's the KTM that feels unloved, as it has been undressed on the operating table for longer that I'm prepared to admit to.

Where are you going? I could be interested. I'm thinking of heading for a ride somewhere this arvo too. Dunno where yet - maybe Godley house for a late lunch.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!

Sounds good, looking forward to it. Hopefully the weather will hold off, it's not supposed to be very nice if you believe the forecast. I don't have any wet weather gear if it turns ugly.
Still, thanks for the invite, appreciate it.

Yeah mate, got your text, cheers. Godley House is usually a good ride, esp midweek when there's not as much traffic to worry about. I'm always keen for a ride out there

Saturday is a ride out to Akaroa, with a bit of a stopoff on the way. I'm sure you'll be welcome to come along, but I'll just check with JWalker first... *sends text* All good, I'll give you the details when you stop by this afternoon. Now for that weather!

You're most welcome to post a meeting to ride yourself. There are always some takers. Most people seem to go for a ride spur of the moment. Maybe we can post a ride with short notice.
I work most weekends so don't get out as much as I like but may see you a ride sometime.

Thanks for the replies folks Ideally I'd like to be able to ride fairly regularly... most people seem to just text their friends if they wanna go for a ride, and up until recently I just haven't been able to do that. Thanks to those who have added me on MSN, sent me a text or PMed me, appreciate it. Went out for a nice ride to Godley House today with Far Queue (nicer guy than his name suggests ) for a late lunch, so that was a good way to use up an afternoon. Quite a few slow moving cars around which was a bit of a pest, wasn't expecting that, but otherwise it was good. Cheers FQ

PM sent mate. I'd love to go for rides with others. Just send me a txt. I've kind of been feeling the same way. I've been in Chch now for over 2 months and I 've yet to go on a group ride. That was a weekly thing for me in Welly
