    when i rode 250's i had state insurance, they are normally the cheapest (but the hardest to get money out of). however they will ask about all of your history, so thats why im with protecta now as i have a "colourful" past so to speak.
    protecta are pretty good but they will charge you an extra 20% if you are paying the premiums off (ie not lump sum payment) and they also covered my mate who had an accident on the track (very long story involving insurance obudsmen so don't ask!) and they only worry about events that have happened in the last 2 or 3 years.

    That is the David Golightly scheme that Firefight and Marknz mention. I am with this also, but from Rettun's posts I gather that he may be under 25. That could create a world of difference.
