I am considering a new bike..
Either an R1 or Millie. Managed to borrow Millie this weekend, and absolutly loved it! What a michine! Am trying to borrow R1 maybe this week to see what thats like.
What is everyone else's views on these bikes?

What kind of a question is that?!
It's not like you're comparing two similar bikes - they're poles apart. You just have to ride both, and decide for yourself. The R1 will probably be quicker (once the revs are up), maybe easier to ride, but with less character and style than the Mille, but probably cheaper to run(?)
Anyone on here that has a V-twin will opt for the 'Priller; all the IL4 guys will say the R1. Because they're different, you should buy both.
(Just so you know - "Mille" is pronounced "Me-yuh", not "Millie".)
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Yeah, test ride em both and decide yourself.

I rode my first in line 1000cc on Saturday (did swap with a mate's K3), and boy oh boy the two bikes are world's apart. (SP1 vs K3)

The gsxr was knife like through sweepers (although I've learnt my strg head brgs need replacing).

The difference in power delivery was phenomenal. The K3 accelerates up through the gears like a two stroke motorcross bike, and the power just keeps building.

It's a choice between instant gratification (R1) or long term satisfaction.

come on brother!!!! wash your mouth out! if i wasnt a poor student i would buy the mille!! R1's are awsome bikes but one they are so one trick ponies, all go at 10000rpm. trust me, from someone who cant have fun below 140kmh on his bike!
the mille will be awsome at low speeds, in and out of traffic and even when you get tired (when...) of the power you can do monsterous wheelies of biblical proportions!
plus an R1 will never sound as good!
Rock on brother, will be down soon!
yeah... sorry bro, i thought that ment miles 'n hour.

    THIRD GEAR WHEELIES!

I am not going for a Duc because there are no suitable ducies for the price i would pay, for the aprillia. ($12900)
If someone has a 996 for similar, LET ME KNOW!!
It does how ever wheelie in third! What a machine.
Hopefully ride the R1 this week. Depends if im good at work or not.

How the hell can you get a Mille for that kind of money?!? That's outrageously cheap!
