    Bike + Track = GOOD!

I spent the day out at Pukekohe track today, running the pits for a private hire put on by my brothers car yard.

3rd time I have done this for love, as all profits (over $2,000 today) go directly to Camp Quality, who support kids and their families coping with cancer, but this time it was different.

This time, I went out to the track on my bike.

Long story short, I begged and grovelled to be allowed a squirt during the lunch break, but was DENIED!

So, I went to a higher power.

    I asked Gary.

    Gary is GOD!

Gary did for say, "Yeah boy, fill ya fucking boots!"

So fill I did... well, for 3 laps anyway at the end of the day.

Rosey may never be the same again. I had a mate tail me in a Primera, and for the first lap, he buttoned off because I was riding like a right royal nana (it was wet, and I haven't scrubbed the new tires right over yet (cos I am a nana!)).

The second lap, after a pant wetting moment involving my front tyre and a large stone causing it to lose traction momentarily, the HTFU pill had started to kick in and I exited Castrol a bit quicker. I didn't look at the speedo, but said Primera drive was at 160 and wasn't sure how quickly he was or wasn't catching me.

Third lap, it was getting a bit slippery, so I buttoned off a bit again, and managed a semi-respectable 145 down the back, then called it quits, because it was getting just too damn easy!

So yeah, I'm bloody hooked! I need more track time.

    And a faster bike.

And a slightly bigger HTFU pill...

(Some cornering lessons wouldn't go astray!

Anyways, that was my day... hope you all had an equally awesome day of riding, see you on the roads!

Sounds awesome mate. I am yet to fully partake in the glory that is a race track.
I had a quick squirt out to Kawakawa Bay (with about 15 bikes) and back with Chickadee and Maverick. Need more riding... going out again tommorrow I think/hope.

All I can say is, do it - get on a track, and ride to your comfort level.

Sounds like you and Rosey were doing your own version of dancing with the stars - glad she managed to survive your rough man-handling of her!

All good, and on ya all for raising money for a good cause.

Rung the shit out of a 2003 Suzuki GSX 250 FX (40BHP), got it a shade over the tonne & a 93 ZZR Kwaka (similar power, a lil less).....WOOT!!! Love the 4 cylinder
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
