    Fatal crash in Milton - Sunday 22 April 2007

    rip to this rider, condolences to family and friends

    A motorcyclist died when his bike failed to take a bend, hit fence posts and crashed into a ditch near Milton on Sunday afternoon.
    The accident happened on State Highway Eight around 2.40pm.
    Police say the 37-year-old Kaitangata man suffered severe leg injuries and was unconscious when found by a passing motorist.He regained consciousness and was flown to Dunedin Hospital by helicopter but died a short time later.
    Police say speed may have been a factor.

    Ah, actually I did - but tacked it on the Dunedin Rides thread as some of them rode past the crash site while I was there.
    Have a look at that thread for a little more info.

    It was one of my mates brothers, didn't really know the dead guy though.
    Winding up drongos, foil hat wearers and over sensitive KBers for over 14,000 posts...........

    Yeah, nothing to like about them. However, I believe they are important as from them we learn.

    We learn about vulnerability, we learn about how only 100% attention is acceptable, we learn about how car drivers act, we learn about what doing stupid things means.
