You have got your hands full with those two I think, if you can send them home in good order I might think about it one day.

By the way fleethaul has opened a blog page or site or whatever it is called.

Get them to post the link on here so those who want to can follow it.

By the way, how do you get down off a Tiger? Cheers John.

    Tiger on the prowl

Marks bike cleared customs about 3pm after the obligatory running backwards and forwards to the various depts. Considering the horror stories
one hears about bikes taking 10 days to clear customs this one took
    about 3 hours.

Had the bike out of the crate and on the road in about 20 mins just in time
to meet Sydney rush hour traffic.

I can see why a GPS is obligatory in large cities like this.

We are heading on a shakedown run tomorrow to bed in the gear on the Aprilia and fit the water taps and fill MT's Gobi's.

SlipperyOz is joining us for the first 2 days as we ride forest tracks to Bathurst.
Will post pics as soon as I remember my smugmug password.

    Cheers

    Appreciate your point. (lol)

The average life of male human is "three score years and ten" (70yrs) some of us are at the latter end of that spectrum!

The important thing is that we are "still here" and still riding our bikes, I hope you can say the same when you get here! John.

    Then there was one.

Mark and I parted company, about 2 hours north west of Melbourne, last Monday.
To say we had a ball up to that point is an understatement.
While I headed off on a 2 day ride to Sydney, mark headed into Melbourne
to catch up with friends and make new ones.
Mark has joined a group of riders who are crossing the Simpson desert
East to West. I'm told once you get over the first sandhill ( there are about 80)
called big red (ninety meters high) the rest are easy.

They start on Monday, from Birdsville, 3000km north of Melbourne.

Mark rang me from a town on the Great Ocean road saying the weather
    was lousy, On Wednesday night.
I'm now home in ChCh planning my next visit.
We have scored beds in a house near Phillips Island for the MotoGP
so we will meet up there if not before.
You can see a slide show of the trip Pics (1st 2 weeks) here.
