Haven't ridden a new gpx250 but it's fairly common for gears to be clunky when new shifting up and down gears. Especially if the revs don't match when you shift up or down.

Probably nothing to worry about unless it's jumping out of gears or anything like that.

    and Welcome!

    Welcome to KB !
I asked the same thing with my gpx a while ago and found that there's something about a bearing that doesn't quite click into place while in neutral, but 1 - 2 have always been weird for my bike and it is known to be a louder than normal bike.

Hope this helps a little bit, but it's awesome to see another rider from Manurewa, one that rides the same bike as me no less! (Well, mine's a bit older, just a bit hehe).

Actually, you weren't with someone else at the botanical gardens the other day were you? I remember riding along and seeing a new GPX there thinking "yay for whoever that is!".

    Thumbs up

I Had one of the old GPX 250's and the gearbox was fairly clunky, but often a worn or loose chain exacerbates the clunkiness.... also a good quality oil helps a lot..... Great bikes!!!!

Yeah! It was parked next to a red hyosung, haha, small world. If I see that pair around again I'll have to stop and say hi now that I know you're kb'ers !

You can see what a GPX looks like in the wrong hands hehe
