Hehe. I can see him doing that, then getting out his trusty tape measure and rebulding it.

I feel like I can breathe easier now that he's out of ICU.

    Arrow Hey Shaun.

Sorry to hear about your off, hope the recovery is going well for you. Im back home after coming off my MX bike down on the beach at Ahu Ahu Rd, where I hit a big rock at full speed resulting in me breaking my back and are now a paraplegic. The road to recovery is different for us all and I hope the stressors and hurdles are not too great for you mate. If there is anything I can do for you, please ask as I'm more than happy to help. I'd like to donate $50-00 to your funds that are being collected at kiwibiker. I know its not much, but every little bit helps I have found. Let me know if you want when you get back to the naki. I think I might kinda know a bit of what your going through although your injuries must be different than mine. Remember that its your imagination that'll hold you back. If you believe in yourself there is a bloody good chance that you'll achieve whatever it is you are wanting to. Also remember to only do one thing at a time as I found doing more just set me up for failure. I've got my own pad now in New Plymouth, your allways welcome here Shaun, take care and heal well. Cheers John/IL4.

Edit: Just deposited the amount into Riff Raff's account where the cash is being collected for you. Hope it helps.

Thank you to all who have sent good wishes and a speedy recovery to Shaun and his family since his accident.

    We have some good news!

Shaun is going to be sent to Leeds General, not sure of the exact timing but hopefully very soon.

All I can say as Shaun's sister is thank you so much to all who have helped,
with good wishes, with accommodation, with the loan of a car, to the nurses at Nobels hospital, and all the unnamed workers in the back ground, (Helen & Wyn, those I have met, and I'm sure there are many more that Fiona, Anja and Nikki met in the first few weeks) Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

We will keep you posted as to his recovery.

bit slow.... just spottted this post

Donation made and wishing Shaun and family all the best

I agree with an earlier post to take things one step at a time, In 1970 I spent 8 months in a coma and following it had to learn all those normal things again like using muscles, walking etc and its a slow frustrating time and cant be rushed .....but with the friends and support and determination I know Shaun and family will have he will be back on his feet in no time.

    Hi there,

Just got some orders from the man himself, Have been told to post on just about every bike forum to give everyone a HUGE thankyou for all the Help, Wellwishes, Cards, Visits and the rest. He is totally humbled by the amount of support he has recieved. He cant wait to get back on the net and stir up shit, but as you can imagine is wanting to put all his energy into repaired and spending time with all of us. This was all i could remember as Shaun was a bit gabby todayand was talking 120mph so a pick the best bits!
I and the rest of Shauns family would like to personally thank Riff Raff and all of you Kiwibikers who have done all you can to help us, We can relax in knowing that there are a few less things to worry about, which has have given us a chance to put all our energy into helping Shaun recover.
