    verbiage n. derog. too many words or unnecessarily difficult words. [French: related to *verb].
    Does that mean that "verbiage" is itself?

    One of the ongoing conundrums of the english language like how dyslexia is not easy to read for people who don't suffer never mind those who do or that abbreviation has 12 letters.

    Extinct KIWI

    DUCKMAN, I was just passing by and ran across your idotic post bashing Americans. Well, I'm an American and I am certainly not stupid. You will notice that, unlike yourself, I am able to spell "stupid" correctly. Furthermore, I am able to differentiate between desireable and undesireable members of a large group of individuals. You can go ahead and bash us as a group all you want, but keep in mind that it is the KIWI that has been removed from the gene pool (and in your case that is a happy thing). I know with your little mind you are content with sitting there on your little island spewing sour grapes at a large group of the human race who, when they do something, the whole world listens. The last time a KIWI made a hit was back in the 50's when a cool little indian sherpa carried one to the top of the mountain. GET A LIFE, little duck man!

    But you can't spell "desirable"???
    Hey, stick around Murray. Most of us here like spewing on large sectors of society. It's good, clean fun and somehow makes us feel better about ourselves, even though we go on record as being maybe not quite as smart as we like to think...

    Cool... We finally got around to that wonderful topic of American (mis)pronunciation. A few personal favourites:

    Nookular = nuclear
    Labratry = laboratory
    Aluminum = aluminium
    Spatoola = spatula
    Marzda = Mazda
    Ass = Arse

    Feel free to add...

    I spent a few hours today shooting clays with an American tourist. He was real quick on the trigger... Nice guy, though. Certainly didn't fit the "I am" image we love to hold of Americans.
    At least the Californians got a model - look what we got for PM!!!
