I tell you what I really hate, my memory is still ...funky. I have minor panic attacks because I know im forgetting something...appointments etc. What bothers me the most is that before I was an independant women. If I couldnt manage it on my own I got someone who could. If I wanted something I went out and got it. I was an active mum and loved hanginh out with my 14 yo girl and 12 yo boy. Now I am needy. As hard as I try to be independant...I pay for it dearly afterwards with pain. Even simple tasks such as grocery shoping, driving my manual car. Try that with a fucked knee and fucked leg in general...and the arm you change gear with is fucked too. But hey..these things are sent to test us...and Im sure it can only get easier.

Youll be fine if I bitch slap with left arm sunshine.

ACC is helping money wize....just. Since Ive never collected/used any
governement moneys before, im a tad nervous about it. On wednesday one of my sergeons told me it could take 2 years to completely recover when I asked about work. He told me to stop being in such a hurry and he was really impressed with my progress thus far. I was creeping about without a crutch because I left the bloody thing at home.

maybe a ACC recognised physio can suggest a home help arrangement. ACC seem to help those that need it and politely ask.
You have more right to assistance than most. Think of it as fastracking your recovery.

OK, Bella is still sitting sadly in the shed putting on the major sulks. Im not sure what to do with her. Shes fairly forked. I need suggesetions. Dont forget Im mechanically retarded. Still brings tears to my eyes when I see her in the state she is. From what Ive heard (some friends/family had to have a look at the devistation) she might have a few good bits on her and the engine might be fine.

Holy shit! Looks like you had a huuge bin! Glad you're alive! I'm sitting here with a sore back and foot from my bin and decided to read this whole thread and I realise how lucky I was. Hope you recover quickly! Remember, every day above ground is a good day

well..its been ...lots of months since bin and ive jut about had anuf. I had an arguement with duty doc on friday. He wanted to call ambulance for me. I flat out refussed, gathered my things and crept back to my car and drove home. my kidneys keep complaining and im so tired from having panadol as my sole sorce of pain releif. I wish at times i never woke up. The whole left side of my throbs in pain. I cant sleep anymore then a hour at a time. Surgeon says " suffer the pain or loose your kidneys" I have started smoking again..as of 2 days ago. It spins me out for a few mins and i dont notice the agony. The graft on my leg is infected, im running hot an cold fever. My heart is pounding if i walk down the hall way. Everything seems to be getting progresively worse. I can hardly have any clothing on my shoulder as the weight of it or movement of cloth over my shoulder hurts. I need a holiday. In a warm place. I cant stress enuf the importance of wearing armour under draginjeans or leathers.

This post is merely a vent and I am in no way seeking/looking for sympathy. I made my bed...and Im sleeping in it.

Pixc that's not good to hear at all. I am not sure what to say but please try to stay positive and I am sure you can find the strength to get through this. Just keep on raving as I am sure writing down your thoughts helps a lot.

Glad you survived a pretty horrific crash. Sounds like you've got a long road for recovery, I'd say every day is a victory being alive after the crash, and you'll be healing as each passes. Hope the infections, surgeries and kidney stuff sorts itself out soon. Heal up fast. You're obviously a tough chick - hugs and healing bike Angel.

would you like a visit from the duck? I am up your way on friday (if your still in tga) Would you like to meet up? (if not i dont mind, i dont think i would be to up to visitors if i was you) good luck at getting better. And do try and score a xbox 360 out of it, also see if you can hit up acc for a heat pump etc, as between the controlled atmosphere and xbox you will be able to heal the best you can Good luck and god speed in healing. and getting better. and healing. and getting better. you get the picture.
