Well...after 3 months Ive finally been discharged and im STILL at home. I was initially discharged from hospital on 16 May, but rushed back to hospital via ambulance 17th May after my thigh basically EPLODED..EWWW!!! After 6 operations and one nasty huge graft, I was discharged..again...only to go back 3 days later with kidney failure I shit you not folks...KIDNEY FAILURE!!! WHY ME!!! So...the count now is 9 operations...no spleen (did I mention that the surgeon reattached my navel sideways and off centre!!!!) The scars on my face are now quite faded..( But I know they are still there) My nose looks ok ( my visor was shattered and looked like it just about sliced my nose off) My shoulder is the worse pain. I broke the bit on my back and were it attached to the collar bone. Ive lost well over 20kgs and I cant stop loosing weight. I lost 3kgs in the last 6 days and the docs are threatening to send me back to hospital. I honestly cant help it. Food doesnt taste the same after the concussion. The day of the accident, 11th April, and for 3 weeks after, I have no recollection at all. I abused the doctors, nurses, cleaners just about everyone who came near me appaerantly. I was told that what concussion can do My memory started to comeback slowly, like a 'blink' worth and slowly getting longer and longer bouts or recollection. I still have more surgeries to go. My knee has 1 out of 4 intact ligaments and hurts like crazy when I think I can do without my brace for a day. My shoulder as mentioned before, is the worsed pain. On top of it all, because of the kidney failure ( they are going again now) the docs have removed ALL my lovely pain releif and given me panadol and tramal instead. My kidneys failed because of all the drugs I taking at once. 3 different antibotics ( 1 for thigh wound that was the size of a TV guide and 5cm deep, 1 for pnemonia I contracted because of all the operations, 1 for a bug that was resistant to all other antibiotics) and 3-4 different typs of pain releif ( depending on how bad I felt at the time)
I am now looking for another bike. Well..I hope to be able to get back on soon. My boyfriend changed the insurance on bella to 3rd party a week before I wrote her off. Anybody who wants to buy parts off her get intouch. Her motor is apparently fine, but frame is prolly bent.

Cripes You hang in there girl and keep fighting! Sounds like the usual medical mis-adventures, what you've gone through sounds appalling

Good to hear you're still looking forward to getting back on two wheels and shopping for a new ride! Glad you're still with us!

Well that was a sobering read. Hospitals and doctors eh? I sometimes wonder...
Sounds like you are on the home straight in your recovery.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Hope things are going to turn out alright for you pixc. Your accident makes mine sound tame! I had to spend 2 1/2 weeks in hospital and i had somewhere around 20 broken bones! Nothing compared to you! Do you find that you get sick of people looking at you with sympathy? I hated it. Still do. Just because you have crutches does not make you a cripple!

Yes, but they are an awfully convenient way to get out of buying a round at the pub.

I never shirk from putting on a shout. I went and put $400 on the bar a month after i got out of hospital to celebrate my eventual full recovery! That was a good afternoon!

    Pixc,
Sorry to hear what happened. I am sure we are all concerned and if you need help to get back on track do sing out. Perhaps we can start by auctioning your bike bit by bit off? And with the money you can buy yourself something new.

I will pray for your quick recovery.

Yesterday I went to the 'Brain Injury Clinic' were I was told im all roses except for the "cogs are running a bit slow". Humph!! Im just resting I tell ya!
I went and saw the surgeon thats fixing my shoulder and hes well and truely happy with his handy work for now. Surgery again prolly in 6 weeks for that. I have to say the team of surgeons that looked after me are fantastic. I had 5 senior surgeons plus their jnrs for each peice of me that needed rebuilding. My pain releif is very ..lackin now since renal failure and Im stuck with having to get expensive non subsidised stuff. Yesterday my pharmacy bill was $159. Today I woke up feeling like Ive been hit by a bus. My torso is very sore and breathing is getting more difficult. Im hesitant to go back to the doctor incase the prick sends me back to hospital. Ive decided tomorrow will be more conveniant. As long as I dont lay down ill be fine. Another night sleeping in the lazy boy for me btw...IF ANYBODY SAYS TO ME 'GEZZZ YOUVE LOST ALOT OF WEIGHT' AGAIN...Bitch slap heading your way!!!! I dont think their is a straight peice on bella altho I havent had a close inspection.
