I reckon my commute is pretty good, even if it is a bit short.

It starts with a 1km long gravel driveway complete with 2 sweeping corners, 2 tight corners and a couple of mild bends. Then its 6 km of open back country sealed road with sweeping corners, a nice down hill 75km left hander, more twistys then a 1 km long straight before two final bends. Cross the highway, and 2 kms of urban back streets, before another downhill across a one way bridge, a chicane, a short straight into a tight right left combination then a down hill sweeper to work. Only 10.5 km, but I get to it in reverse at the end of the day.
    Time to ride

I don't mind my commute cos I leave home early so don't get the traffic crap that others on my route get - 28 ks of almost bliss. I leave home and get down to pauatahanui inlet and go out to paremata roundabout ... from there it is straight SH1 all the way ... off at hawkestone and into molesworth .. a good thing about the bike is free safe parking at work ... then in the PM I get to reverse it ... sounds boring .. but hey its still my idea of more fun than being in a car!

Yep, 28 k's to Courtenay Place from the Upper Valley. It takes around 40 minutes in peak hour traffic. Good for honing your lane spiltting skills.

Not selling the Z mate, it's getting new front disks for a warrant. Let us know when you've moved into the valley and we'll catch up for a Sunday ride. There's a few KiwiBikers here.

Sounds like a plan. Moving over on July 10.
