I am replacing the right hand crank seal on my rm 250. Is there a trick to removing the crank seal? The manual reccomends a seal remover, or is there an alternative I can use? thanks

so you have split the cases yeah? Or leaking oil into crank so trying dodgy in place removal. If seal is visible one could drill small holes & self tap screw into then lever out. But if a klutz one could also wreck the crank surface or bearing behind doing this.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
thanks for that advice mate, I just drilled a couple of holes and screwed some sheet metal screws in there and pulled it right out. However, my crank seal housing has some gouges in it (not my doing), is there anything I can do to fix these?
new second hand case or liquid metal if your very very carefull and clean and tidy with it best done when appart though
Will give the liquid metal a shot, new case is out of the question. thanks
