Copperhop, yeah - it's good. Any Mac's is good. And that 6-fingered Tasmanian ale.
Worstest beer I ever had was in Twin Falls, Idaho. Called "Red Dog" or summat. Tasted like compost or dog's piss or summat on the first sip, then got marginally better, till you were lulled into a false sense of "hey - this almost tastes like beer!"
Then the first belch came up.
That's not an experience I wish to repeat. Ever.
But (BUT!) I subsequently went to Muggers' BrewPub, a trendy microbrewery, and discovered they DO have real beer in Idaho. Not only that, but they had a huge set of shelves at the entrance with beer bottles/cans from everywhere. A Tui's Moment - "Yeah, Right!"
Nup. I checked it out, and they had all sorts of NZ ales and beers. Most impressive.
Oh - and Flat Head Larry was stunting (as you do) and landed on his head (yeah, it happens sometimes.... ) But he wasn't wearing a helmet (as was his wont). Now the silly fooker is dead.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Yup. But it still hasn't deterred them from bitching on alt.motorcycles about the "stupid" helmet laws...

and for the record, Export Gold is my beer of choice.

But if someone else is buying I like Heinekin and Crown Lager.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Yeah, had one of those a couple of weeks ago, on Lygon Street. But I like the other Tasmanian beer slightly more (think it's got a TT on the front as well?) - Boags.

Good bit of doggerel, cockerel, or mackerel that. Do they teach prose in Engineering?

Well, yeah, like FS said, it's more 'ordinary' than 'bloody awful'.

Still don't see why anyone would drink it when Crown Lager, Heinies or Macs is available, though.

What is it with these euro beers? - they stink! the taste is not bad,but they smell off when you crack them open...just finished some Bravara (sounds like a Barum tyre) from Brazil (Latin America ok? close enough to Europe),not a bad drop, but I had to hold my nose.

You gotta laugh at the Yanks defending Larry's decision to kill himself the easy way.OK if they scraped him off the road with a shovel and gave him straight to an undertaker - but how many other people does his death involve, friends and relatives, the people who worked desperatly to save his life...and failed, money and resourses tied up because Larry wanted to show off in front of a crowd.I'm happy with their freedom of choice thing - but they should of just walked up to Larry lying on the road and said - oh,bad choice Larry, you fucked up mate...and walked away - cause that's what he wanted, right?

Yeah! That's right. I think it must be like Hamilton water: even though it's filtered and filtered and dosed with chemicals and stuff, it still tastes like the way the Waikato River smells! (Prolly why Waikato beer tasted the way it did...)
So with all these furrin beers, they've prolly got "eau de sewage" included for free in eavery bottle.

Well said, Motu! I wonder how many "freedom to choose, and not wear a helmet if I feel like it" Murkns thought of that?

Didnt notice the smell myself. Bravara was a good Corona substitute.
    Nastro wasnt bad (italian).
Warsteiner is ok. My favourites however are Kronenbourg (easily!) and Hoegaarden for when im feeling a bit weird.
Dont drink NZ shite, dont mind crown lager though when I cant find me kronies.
Stella gives me a chronic headache. Bleagh. too bitter.

I used to think it was too thin and bitter tasting, but I don't mind it now.

I'm don't drink lager these days, really, anyway.
