    AARRGGHH!

There is some sort of PERVERT on that forum suggesting sobriety!

Man! If I gave up beer I might see what my Guzzi really looks like and buy a Suzuki or something! Come on folks! Don't let that happen! Send beer!!

(oh, and non of the cheap Tui stuff either OK)

I just read that as I took my first sip of a Tui - too sweet and fizzy, can't even pour it into a tall lager glass...all you get is a glass full of fluff,no matter how easy you pour.Still,I'll drink it...the sign of a dedicated beer drinker.

No Adventure or dirt bikes - oh,is that flathead Indian Larry on the front page, exersicing his choice of head protection.

ok well let's turn this thread into something worthwhile:

Ever tried Nastro Azzurro? It's a fine beer esp on those sunny bbq days.

The perennial Macs Gold for a cheap & cheerful.

Stella in the big bottles is nice. Effes is a Turkish one I tried the other day, seemed ok.
Don't you look at my accountant.

That website should drop its ridiculous number of separate forums and have just *one*. USENET style. Diversify once the divisions in interests become apparent. You listening, Mr choppers4life? You'll get a decent critical mass of users in minimum time, that way.

My current bottle-shop beer of choice is Mac's Copperhop. Tasty, that stuff is. Even Mrs Random likes it.

Nuffin wrong with Tui, either, but I don't buy it. Why go without discernable flavour just to save $1.50 a pack?

Unless I visit the Aussie shop in Covent Garden - but that's an expensive option.

(Much to my relief, Tim Tams are now sold in our local supermarket - for about half the price in the Aussie shop. Ever since we saw Natalie Imbruglia rave about them on a chat show (and happened to be in the right place to buy some the next day), they've been a bit of a treat!)

What IS it with the Tim Tam obsession amongst furriners? They're just mass-manufactured chocolate biscuits fer goodness sakes. A decent baked brownie tops a Tim Tam any day. Never buy the things, myself.

Now, Tiny Teddies, on the other hand...

It’s funny, when I was sent to Pomgolia I travelled Singapore Air Business class & the only beer I could get was Tiger or Fosters -Bluek! & when I got there my boss lives in this enormous mansiony type place, big grounds etc, so he offers me a Beer. Cheers thanks. Then he passes me a Fosters! Good grief! I mean it’s Aussies’ low end beer (as is VD, er B) & they think it’s flash over there.

PS Steinlager’s boast ‘they’re drinking our beer here’ (overseas) might be correct. No other bugger is drinking it at home!

On the return flight same thing Tiger or Fosters. Oh hold on I’ll see what is in economy sez the attendant. & comes back with Bitnberger (sp) which despite not being able to spell it, one of my fav drops imported from Germany & about $16 for a 4 pack here in NZ.

    Go figure! :confused2
