no point in buying a lotto ticket this week. I already brought the winning ticket.

Oh God yes, the finance. Well I don't mind saying that the cost of a new bike was pretty frightening all right. I've never made a purchase this big (apart from the house) and I've broken a cardinal rule of financial smarts which is to never borrow on a depreciating asset. Tho, I doubt that this bike will depreciate too much (unless I keep hitting rocks that is).

Still, it's worth it for the sheer bloody pleasure it gives. And let's face it, we only live once and life is here to be enjoyed. And it's highly likely that future generations won't be able to ride around on machines like we do because there won't be anything left to fuel em! So enjoy while we have the chance I say.

nods it was a great day .. Al was prob the only one on the bike .. rode down to shannon & we drove back to linton in horse truck & helped dogs move house .. definate wind chill factor out there ...

rock on tomorrow .. just went out & started Betsy, could not resist a 100 meter dash up the road .. with no gear it sure was cold but damn it felt great .. .. now counting down the hours & weather looks great .. but might have to have a few thermal layers on ..
