I'm at home today recovering from a flu which hit me on Sunday so I thought I'd add another small report on my 1000 miler.
By the end of last week I'd managed to clock up over 900 miles, most of it done within a week of getting my new bike. I'd passed most of the critical milage/rpm limititations, meaning that I was no longer limited to the lower rpm restrictions.
On the Friday, I only had about 40 miles to go before the big 1000, so on Saturday Sarahtvet and I decided to go for a quick jaunt up over the track and thereabouts to finally finish it off.

So team Britain passed through Pahiatua and headed north where the miles rapidly counted down (or up) towards the 1000. Right outside, you guessed it, the Tui Brewery
Ignoring the beauties frolicking in the river we decided to forgo infiltrating the main compound to nick a few crates, and opted instead to take a celebratory pic of an equally beautiful sight - the bike that is
