I'd say Helen would love a good blast on a bike if she didn't have to worry about being caught And carbon credits, well, that's only slowing the inevitable isn't it. I wonder what we're going to find to burn in the next 1000 years?

Trees down? That bad up there? It's just a strong cold southerly here! Not tree down strength by any means!

Now back in Palmy. Quite nice to be back especially since I'm feeling a little better. Still quite a painful cut, but it's getting better as long as I don't cough or move too quickly in the wrong direction.

Being at Mum's was fun and a good way to spend some time together, seeing as it doesn't happen too often these days. And being forced to stay in bed and eating properly was the best way to recuperate. Felt a little 'out of body' for some of the time, a physical and psychological reaction to the knife I believe.

Managed to get out into Wellie a couple of times, she's a great city and changes so rapidly, and that's always been the case. I just love all the little bits of artwork that catch your eye at every turn now it seems.

Drove myself down to Aro Valley this morning for a latte and people watch - great, such a different scene.

Sarah was kind enough to drive down to collect me and soon enough we were back in another landscape.

It was GREAT to see the Gixxers and Triumph again and I can see myself back in the saddle again soon. Not too soon though, I'll know when it feels right, and I sure as hell don't want to rip any of these stitches out, that would turn everything upside down all over again.
