sorry guy's my internet is going at snells pace , there maybe a couple of sports bike comming on the run, have no problem with this , bike and bikers are welcome , just keep in mind there are a good number of bike by the sounds of it coming on the ride , it is not a speed test, it is a sunday ride ,there are some very large bikes which may need more space in and out of some of the corners please give these bikes leway, have some fun ,get to know each other

I'll be graduating up to a larger banger in a few months time, this is going to give me a good chance to check out some bikes I like in action.

(glad its not a speed test, my 250 struggles to get to 125kph downhill!)

Will be tearing engine down to sort out a nasty mess. If I can fix it by then I will be there, otherwise I will be shouting angry curses at engine in pieces.

Hey Surfer, what's the problem with 650? I had a 73 TX650 and did a rebuild at one stage. They are pretty easy to work on.

Glad to hear that they are pretty easy to work on. Got any tips for a rebuild?

I am suspecting the oil has been contaminated by petrol leaking through the carbs. The oil feels a bit thin. I reckon I have shagged the pistons.

I reckon engine tear down time, any thoughts? (I am putting the information so far into the engine part of the forum).
