And pehaps Motards as well since they seem to be growing in popularity a bit.

If you call HD's FXR a cruiser, then that's what I ride. There are many reasons why I ride what I do, one of them being; I got a good deal off a mate. Another is, I can fix it myself, it's pretty simple in its construction etc. (Some would say agricultural.) It's been reliable and is unstressed on the open road. I'm also impressed at how easy it is to get parts for and how quickly they arrive, should you need them. Most of the parts dealers/agents offer good service. It's the whole package really.

AH but there in lies the problem, the definition of a cruiser, in my mind its a ride that you sit upright or close to, in a comfortable seat (armchair), legs set between straight and the 90 degree mark, Arms in a relaxed position. and can be Naked or not... ...uhoh,

Perhaps a category of 'other' might be appropriate.

    I noticed that.
It obviously means the cruiser set are being watched by the sb riders. Spookie isn't it possums?

we need to keep an eye on the cruiser riders. They look dodgey with their long hair and tattoos.

I've gradually made the progression through the years. Started with the naked bikes since that was all the go back then. When the faired bikes came into prominence, went with the flow. Last few have been naked and then recently started taking a few cruisers for test rides and have started to like the experience. Took a Mean Streak out on the weekend and got on pretty well with that.

Ahh! So we need a Touring-Sport-Cruiser category!

    Don't forget Monocycles, too...

Didn't think I'd really be happy with a cruiser after the GSX-F but have to say, ('cause I can!), that I love the C50T and could ride it all day!

    Hey!
No fair, I've had a hair-cut and my tassled jacket hides the tattoos.
