Speaking of camera's and lighthouses - whats the road up the spit to Cape Reinga like on a bike - can you safely leave a bike in the carpark with the local "what's yours is mine" types in action?

Yikes... and I only have a cruiser out of that list. Only worn my Boulevard leather jacket once.

I said no to the boulevard jacket, instead did a deal for 1 new flip helmet and a full set of ride gear for the mrs, My old leather still fits... JUST.. with some effort

but I find the leather just doesnt breath like the Cordura..

Road is 21 k of good gravel road, well worth the effort. We left the bike in the carpark & no problems ( no locals either ). The biggest issue we hit was tour buses. The public dunny even had bog roll in it
