    Unhappy school holiday's looming

Hmm, just out of interest, how many of you have your bike riding habits seriously impeded by the school holidays?, or more accurately by having to care for school aged kids during the holidays?, I find the holidays almost unbearable, after 2 weeks or longer of having no rides, I start to get cabin fever!! I went out today after reading the weather forecast casting gloom for the rest of the week, I'm so glad I did, the bike went beautifully and my tyres are well scrubbed in now, so didn't slip at all on the corners. The clutch problem is definately resolved too, so in all it was a positive experience.

hello there fellow gisbornite!, Well I live at Whatatutu which is 40 minutes drive from Gis, so I went into town today, nice interesting road to ride on, and went swimming at the pools, visited a friend, paid some bills and hooned around a bit, then went home again, and if it's fine tomorrow, I will do it all again, I must be losing the plot, I just feel this horrible strangling sensation when I consider 2 weeks with 4 kids inside ,demanding etc I will have to find someone to babysit at least for a couple of hours I think, just so I can collect my wits!, I think I'm having a mlc judging my symptoms!!

Thats one of the advantages of working at a high school, every 10 weeks i get to take a bit of a holiday. So plenty of riding for me over the next 2 weeks.

School holiday traffic usually scares the crap out of me. Fortunately, said hol's tend to coincide with crap weather, so parking the bike is not quite so traumatic...
