    Auckland cruiser groups

ok ,northshore is getting themselfs together as a cruiser group,do the rest of us need to get groups started, such as west, and south, or do we just keep using the board to keep in touch, i understand the northshore group due to there location, and i think it is a good idea for them , let see some ideas and if we can get some hands up who will help out.

I don't think separating ourselves out into small geographical groups will do any good at this time. There are not that many of us @ this stage & separating out now will only further fragment what is a virtually non existing cruiser group.
Please correct me if I'm wrong but as i understand it there have been NO cruiser runs this year & only 1 planned so far. Lets get ourselves sorted out with a few runs before we break into different chapters.

I completely agree.... lets get ourselves off the ground before dividing up the in-flight food. Getting some critical mass going will help us to later co-ordinate smaller groups if we need to split up regions.

Hey now dont get this wrong, I was only envisaging an informal group, not some club thing. (not into any of that stuff or hassle)
It really only came to mind because I see many dozen Cruisers on the shore every day & weekends while im on the road, all riding alone, and also saw very little activity on this site cruiser ride wise... Hence the question, I figure if we have a couple of groups in the greater region the locals will get to know each other better and quicker (on the web dont count ;-) and maybe get off asses and get out together...
Basically it will just mean that when ever any ride comes up we can all try to get the other "locals" to come along... The aim is merely to try and increase the Cruiser Community, Ride wise and Technically..
Now i'm off my soap box you can get on, or use it as firewood as you prefer LOL

Oh dear, picky picky, I aint going to draw you a cartoon...If you read the WHOLE thread, the idea started as a Question, to which many replied they were keen, and as a final comment, it was aimed only at North shore riders, hence the thread tile..

Awesome work discussing and putting a plan together to make a cruisr group ride happen. Let's not get side tracked by geography and names and focus instead on meeting up and riding and seeing what happens next.
