Any Boulevard C90T vl1500 owners here run a tacho?, Im curious to find out what rpm engine is running at set speeds, Ive priced a tacho but frankly the Suzi prices are ridiculas, Im interested to know where it redline's at what speed/gear..

Hi...haven't got one on mine - I haven't used mine much since I bought it - 2 wks ago - but I keep looking for it rather than the speedo. Different, but I haven't got used to not having one. What about after market tachs...but where would you install it?
THere is one made for the Boulevard, a massive peice of chrome work that bolts on to the handlebar mounts, looks really sweet but to bring it in from the USA they quoted $550nz.. hell, I just want a tacho/meter not the blasted front end :-) I'd like to run a little while with a tacho so I get a more accurate idea of revs at different speeds.
I have seen after market ones advertised in States that bolt on the bars but not sure if anygood..
Hey...I've gotta life you know...lol. Been sick for almost two weeks, and haven't taken any yet. But I'm getting there....
Hi Lemure, hope you are over your bug.. been a lot of it about this last month, everyone seems to be coming down with some sort of flu virus.. look forward to your pici's, the one on your profile really doesnt do it LOL !!
Hey guys,
I recently moved to aussie from auckland and I have always wanted a C50. For various reasons Im going to have to wait quite some time before I can get one so I started looking at the Boulevard prices over here. Basically the c90 isnt a whole lot more expensive than the C50.
What do you guys think of the C90?
happy with it?, good ride? would you have gone up to the 109 if you could re-think or are you quite happy with the C90?.
Im looking at this from the point of view that I wont be buying another bike for a good long time.
Hi Ulaa, In my case I was only ever going to buy a cruiser this time, firstly because we wanted the comfort for both rider and pillion. I did start by looking at smaller bikes and in particular the C50T, but after a bit of test riding decided as we were mostly two up that doubling the cc's wouldnt hurt, end result is that when cruising fully loaded with panniers, packs and pillion it will pull away with little effort. So yes, personally the extra few thou was worth the gain if you have the coin to spare.. Looked also at the 109 at the time but wasnt really interested in the sporty model..read my blogs on the first few runs for more detail.
Thanks for that Johnnyflash. I reaad through those, most interesting. Would you consider the C90 a decent commuter or is it really a long distance cruiser?
At the moment the bike will be more for going to/from work with the odd longer ride thrown in. Maybe the C50 would be the bike to go for anway.
1 up its very very easy balanced, tho a bit wide to lane split some times LOL, 2 up with the pillion sitting up higher the COG is a bit higher and not so good in really slow traffic, it IS a cruiser/tourer, I think if most of your running is local with a little touring then the M50 C50 or C50T would suit best..its also a little lighter..
Go to http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/Bo...cessories.cfml then do a search for "tach boulevard". Might help... Cheers
