    Boyesen Reeds

    Hi guys

    wondering if anyone knows about the power reeds
    do they just bolt on? or do they require other other components?
    im pretty sure there bolt on but wanna confirm

    Yeah mate...straight in. You may wanna remove the reed stops.

    The reed stops are the curved metal plates that stop the reeds from opening too far...more important in the days of light steel reeds, as if one of those broke off and got munched my the piston etc...not good. You can leave them in place....it will help the life of the new reeds. You can generally bend them open a bit further than they are stock......if there's no steel strip to put on top of the reeds to replace your reed stops....you can simply cut the 'petals' off your existing stops...or like I said....leave them in.

    yes they go straight in i had to remove big plates .they come with instructions all you need is some locktite suitable for fuel ...oil and wait till it dries .... did you get your bike back togeather yet...and did the pipe fit...
